Dear Ian.. so sorry to hear about Ana… ect.. sending Love and healing thoughts over her ways and hope all is well.. Sending you both my love and support… Sue xxx
July 15, 2015 at 07:00
Thanks Sue for your beautiful healing and heartwarming comment.
Ana is still in hospital and will be for some time undergoing extensive blood tests.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a very crippling disease, hopefully all will turn out okay.
Hope to have her home next weekend, I miss her nagging, at least I know she is well when she nags.
July 16, 2015 at 07:00
Awww so sorry to hear Ana is so unwell Ian. and please give her my Love when you next visit.. I hope she is soon back Nagging You to pieces LOL.. Sending a bunch of sweetpeas via thought wave.. 🙂 xxx

Hi Sue, I passed on your regards and best wishes to Ana, the doctors have taken her off antibiotics via injection today, she now takes them orally, she is in fine spirits but very tired from having blood taken all the time for various testing, hopefully the antibiotic tablets will erase the blood germ completely, her arms are very bruised.
She has her laptop com now so that should erase a bit of the boredom, all being well she might be home this coming weekend.
Thank you Sue for your considerate comments and blessings.
Oh I am so pleased Ian to hear Ana is improving. Ana is still within my Healing thoughts and I wish her well… Fortunately for me I have not been in hospital many times.. Babies, and a few minor Day surgeries .. But when Hubby was in a few years back now He was like a caged Lion. lol.. 🙂
Sending Hugs to you both. Sue xxx

One step forward and two steps back in the world of medicine Sue.
Ana will be in hospital a while yet, seems she has to take blood thinners the rest of her life.
She has so much going on at the moment, beating the Glaucoma, waiting for the magic Rheumatic injection, and now the blood thinners.
I worry about the pressure she is under with it all.
Just catching up on missed likes Sue, this one is definitely out of date.

Hi Ian.. I hope you do not mind me asking.. But since I have now two blogs one for my gardening, How on earth do I get two gavatar pictures to post for each blog so that each one leads where its supposed to go.. when I did change my picture it just changed it on all my comments everywhere.. what do I need to do..
You can email me if is a long answer for your blog Ian.. So then I can visit other gardening blogs with my gardening logo that leads back to there not the Sanctuary!.. Hope you do not mind me asking..
Hugs Sue x
Sue, Sue , Sue, don’t damn know, confused me with my Emu site too, I got two pics but neither leads to each other, each pic is separate, we are actually running two Word press sites, I have been confused for a long time since the Spaces days, I have two sites and two different sets of followers, I am trying to let let my followers know that I am a transvestite and run two sites, best advice I can give Sue is to just have two different avatars, and advertise in each site your other site, keep this up Sue and I will open a site for us confused lost gavatar souls.
Keep smiling girl, new day tomorrow, new stuff to learn.
Ian aka Emu aka Ian aka Emu aka Emu etc
LOL Ian, haha.. this made me laugh out loud. :-D.. so pleased its not just me.. I thought when i set up a new WP site it would be separate.. yet I get all the follows and comments in one place and get confused as to which site I am actually ON.. No worries.. I wondered if I got a different email address and added to my gavatar if that would help.. then I guess I have to link my Gardening blog to that email so that it goes back.. oh see … now I am confusing myself LOL.. doesn’t take much… LOL.. 🙂 Thank you Ian for the time taken to reply.. ❤
Welcome to my transvestite Sue, we don’t know who we are, I stick Emu feathers up my arse for one site and sit sipping wine while listening to Strauss in my other site, when I get bored I send Emu a lovely card, when he gets bored he sends me one, sometimes he’s bloody drunk and we argue.
Haha…. 🙂 now that paints a wonderful picture in my vivid imagination Ian.. 🙂 and good to see your humour is still in tact in which ever world you roam in.. Its always good to connect with you. 🙂

Heyahey, Ian … your last poem moved me to tears … I lost your email address … you still have mine? if not, you can find it in blogger at the bottom if you go to About cat or something like that … paleese 🙂 Love, cat.
August 23, 2014 at 07:00
Hi Cat, great that you liked my poem, but you always like my poems and a great friend of my writing.
I can always track down your email from your site, dont think I have one on my About page, but am at Ian.email@example.com, thats my Aussie Emu site.
Hope your happy and smiling Cat.
Missing our old Spaces days, friend Ian … speakin of “old” … the other day one of my young nurse friends complained about her old neighbour lady and her dogs barkin all night … I asked young Maddie :”How old is dat bitch neighbour lady?” … and Maddie say: “Oh, maybe 35.” … I gasped 4 air, and said …” 35? … i am 61 … so what am I then? … maybe chopped liver?” … needless to say, we r still laughing about this to this day … anyway, nice lil story, hmmm? … Keep smiling and I will keep smiling as well … Ce sera sera … what will be will be … Love, cat.
March 20, 2017 at 07:00
Hi Cat, sorry for the late reply, don’t think we are old Cat just because we remember the old My Space days, we have just matured over the years but keep the same twinkle in our eyes, what will be will be, and we never know what is around the corner, I think you might end up marrying a great Cuban drug warlord and live in your favorite country, dancing your Gypsy dances all day and partying all night, while I trek the mountains of the Andes looking for lost civilizations and history, then coming home to write bullshit Love serenades, hehe.
Keep smiling Gypsy Girl.

Hi Ian! 🙂
I agree about the shooting down of MH17!!! 😦
Putin is supplying weapons, ammunition, armour and fighters to the separatists, but there’s no way they had the training to use a weapon system like the SA11 Buk – it HAD to be fired by trained personnel!!! 😦
Apparently the Russian people have no idea what’s happening because all information is controlled by Putin. 😦
He definitely has lost any credibility and I hope he gets a thorough roasting, but he thrives on the siege mentality and will no doubt be around for another decade… 😦
July 22, 2014 at 07:00
I think Putin has shot himself in the foot this time.
His credibility worldwide is now under the microscope.
Pity his own people are being deluded by their own leader.
July 4, 2014 at 07:00
Thanks for the visit and comment!!! 🙂
I’m just getting over a bad event.
My mum left me a message on Facebook and has made a big thing about all the crap I went through as a kid being all in my mind! 😦
So I guess the broken nose and the scarring inside my mouth from my cheek linings getting ripped by my teeth when dad punched the shit out of me on Christmas Eve 1968 aged just 8 years old is also just in my mind???
Apparently posting my poems and comments about dad’s actions on Facebook should not be done because they never happened and are just delusional fantasies. 😦
Why she needs to bury the past I do not know, but apparently ‘family members’ have been able to read them and mum isn’t happy as a result.
Meantime dad is reinventing himself, saying he can’t understand why everyone hates him as he’s never hurt anyone in his life.
He’s even got himself a three legged dog and a lover his own age!
Boy! He’s either mellowed out incredibly from the walking puss-ball of hate that swore to kill me on sight, or we are seeing yet another piece of amazing character acting! 😦
Hard to believe I was so screwed up by his ‘imaginary’ abuse that I looked forward to my 25th birthday as by then my brothers would be safe and I would be able to end the cycle of mental and physical abuse.
Now mum is telling me none of it happened… 😦
Guess it’s better to look forward – the evil cunt can only kill me once… 🙂
God Bless my friend! 🙂
July 3, 2014 at 07:00
Just came online and caught your comment!!! 🙂
Yes, the attack on the old lady was disgusting and incredibly cowardly!!! 😦
Doug is rapidly running out of money, so it won’t be long before he’s back trying to borrow off me again. 😦
Hope you have a great weekend my friend!!! 🙂
July 2, 2014 at 07:00
Third comment!!! 🙂
Yes the new game is a problem for me – for some reason I get anxious playing it! 😦
It’s an irrational response, but I will be OK when I next try it – right now I feel to rough to get into it in any meaningful way! 😦
Liz is right of course: I have a can of Guinness sat in the fridge which I’ll drink later, but if I just stop drinking it won’t be a major problem! 🙂
Doug is an excellent example of somebody who needs to stop before he runs out of money… 😦
It wouldn’t be so bad if fruit juices weren’t so loaded with sugar, I’d just buy plenty, but alas the diet means I have to avoid sugary drinks and, because I’m allergic to Aspartame, I can’t drink the sugar free ones. 😦
Boy am I getting sick of tea and coffee… 😦
God Bless my friend!!! 🙂
Just caught your second comment!!! 🙂
Don’t worry about being late – at least you got here my friend and that’s all that matters! 🙂
The cold has dragged on for a week, but the flu pills help and I have some good cough medicine so when I do cough it’s just to bring up gunk! 🙂
I daren’t go to bed in the day in case I mess up my sleep pattern again, especially as it is my 54th birthday on July 6th and I need to make sure I get to church as I had to miss it last week… 😦
Needless to say I’m lacking in energy, but dinner will be in 30 minutes and I’ll be having a cheese and tomato sandwich with salad cream – about 600 calories total! 😛
Gotta love low fat food… 😉
On the plus side my weight is hovering around 16Stone as of 30 seconds ago, so not too shabby! 😛
Have a great week my friend!!! 🙂
Thanks for the visit and sound advice! 🙂
So far I’ve gone from 20Stone to 16Stone and my target is 13Stone! 🙂
I avoid sweet stuff and limit the amount of bread I eat as well as using frozen ready meals which are calorie counted so I can keep to 1,800 calories max! 🙂
I DO break my diet occasionally, but that helps because after a while your body seems to stop losing weight and the breaks mean you lose weight faster! 🙂
Trouble is that I can’t exercise because of my joints so I concentrate on limiting my food intake instead and it is working pretty well, just incredibly sloooowly… 🙂
The diet is helping though: I am in a lot less pain and I have a far happier frame of mind which is a bonus!!! 🙂
July 1, 2014 at 07:00
Just caught your comments!!! 🙂
Yes, I agree about eating from boredom, but my problem is the constant hunger from the meds. 😦
I am not hungry at the moment because I had a cheese and tomato sandwich at 11am so it is slow to digest! 🙂
I’m, with you on the fresh air, but fresh fruit is hard to come by!
There’s an Asian grocer in the Arndale, but he sells you rotten fruit so you have to throw away half of it when you get it home… 😦
Needless to say his business is suffering. 😦
Comment #2! 🙂
Yes, things have certainly been stirred up around here!!! 😦
The Bomb hoax is just one element of a series of events that have been mentioned in gossip, but ignored by the press and Doug’s ranting has certainly attracted attention!!! 😦
Fukushima is scary stuff.
There are reports that show how bad it is and just how much the Japanese government are trying to supress the information – and Tepco are trying to keep the lid on because Japan is seriously dependent on nuclear power! 😦
Lord knows where this is going to lead, but they are running out of places to put water tanks to control the radioactive water leakage and are planning to freeze the ground to stop contaminated groundwater from getting into the sea.
Ingenious, but an act of desperation… 😦
Yes, I like fresh mustard where you exhale through your nose and the fumes blow your mind! 😛
I agree about the guy who invented Mustard! 🙂
What a way to make a fortune!!! 🙂
I am not surprised that you have similar problems to us with the jihadists coming back!
Last I heard 550 British citizens were fighting with ISIS and 300 have returned from fighting.
The secret services can’t handle the numbers we already have and the shit could hit the fan at any moment, so everyone will have to stay alert for unattended bags and vehicles…
At least the IRA gave warnings to evacuate people before their bombs went off – these crazy bastards are willing to die to slaughter innocents.
What a world we live in… 😦
Just caught your second comment! 🙂
Yes, it IS a bit of a quandary as it something of a chicken and egg situation!!! 🙂
Still: I got my meds and some booze, so it was a win-win situation!!! 😛
Now to head for bed as it is 4.46pm and I need my beauty sleep… 🙂
Gotta love these early morning starts!!! 🙂
Take it easy mate, one day at a time, maintain your meds and sense of humour.
Thanks for the visit and comment my friend!!! 🙂
Yep, it’s good when something finally turns up!!! 🙂
Even so, nine days is a long time to wait for something that was supposed to arrive in three to five days!!! 😦
The sunburn thing is more to do with the thinning ozone layer, not so much the heat as we’re pretty cool here at the moment.
Even so two of my friends who weren’t paying attention suffered minor sunburn and were pretty sore for a couple of nights!!!
You’re winter sounds a lot like our summer at the moment.
Here it is 21’C at the moment and we’re expecting 13’C tonight, so not exactly a heat wave! 🙂
I’m with you on the old bones needing warmer weather – my joints are warning me of colder weather, but tomorrow we have been told to expect thundery showers, so I’m glad I’ll be staying home!!! 🙂
Thanks Prenin, and a great week to you too, even though its Tuesday evening here.
June 29, 2014 at 07:00
Just getting ready for bed at 12.21pm as I’m still sleeping weird hours!
Just caught you comments before I quit for some shut-eye! 🙂
First comment! 🙂
I have the patience of a saint, but I’m getting fed up with just dreaming!!! 🙂
The trouble is that if I win big I’ll be surrounded with people intent on getting a slice, so I’ll have to keep it secret! 😦
Congratulations on the win my friend – small or not, it keeps us dreaming! 🙂
It’s 14’C, grey and miserable with 22% humidity so I should be OK today! 🙂
Second comment! 🙂
Yes, the civil rights movement in America was an amazing thing and something those teenagers should always be remembered for.
Hatred needs a victim and they knew that, peaceful protestors though they were, they were putting their lives on the line for something that they truly believed in.
And now they have a black president – how cool is that??? 🙂
As for ISIS: Yes, they have their eyes on the whole world and unless they are stopped, then they have every chance of succeeding, taking humanity back to the stone age with their hatred of anything different… 😦
If they are stopped in Iraq and Syria then the whole world will be saved.
NOT a pleasant thought… 😦
God bless my friend!!! 🙂
Yes, I agree that mankind never seems to learn, the fighting just goes on and on… 😦
What worries me is that Putin is still thinking old-style Communist spheres of influence, so the Russian fledgling democracy is in deep shit. 😦
If he screws up massively and gets kicked out of office there is no certainty he’ll go, or that he’ll be replaced by someone better.
From the look of it Putin will be top of the pile until his death.
How many will die as a consequence remains to be seen… 😦
Tend to agree with you there Prenin.
Putin will be in for the long haul dragging Russia back decades.
June 15, 2014 at 07:00
Glad you had even a small win and, yes, it does keep the dream alive doesn’t it? 🙂
Hope you hit the jackpot my friend, I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more!!! 🙂
I know what you mean about how smaller prizes seem to suit us as we get older! 🙂
One thing I have decided is that if I get 12 Million or less I’m going to keep it quiet – I have too many people around me who would bleed me dry given half an excuse… 😦
God Bless my friend and I hope you win soon!!! 🙂
June 8, 2014 at 07:00
Doug wants to visit the continent for reasons that are made deliberately vague, so it’s either a booze cruise or he plans on bringing drugs back.
Either way I’m not helping him by forging the details on his passport paperwork, so I’m not flavour of the month at the moment! 😦
Boarshaw is on the far side of Middleton to me and at one point it was a VERY rough area with gangs of teenagers out to rob any adult who came out after dark!!! 😦
The Police couldn’t sort it out and it led to several evictions which is how the Mallinsons came to live on my estate and made our lives hell for about a decade! 😦
Needless to say there are drug problems there and it looks like Doug got the address of a dealer which is why he needed the map to find the address.
The bathroom is almost complete, but the Foreman was not happy with the tiling so it may have to be done again!
Next week should be ‘interesting’… 😦
May 25, 2014 at 07:00
Thanks as always for the visit and comment! 🙂
Yeah Doug would be fucked without me, but it’s hard to just leave him to rot as any sane person would given all he’s done! 😦
All I can say is I hope I win the lottery so I can buy a house and get the fuck away from him!!! 😦
Every time he has had a problem he’s knocked at my door and expected me to solve it, has gone to great lengths to beg money from me and my hallway shelf is FULL of little notes asking for help!!!
None of his old friends will help him and I can no longer tell if he’s being honest because he’s lied so often about so many things!!! 😦
All I can do is make some distance between us and keep him as far away from me as possible… 😦
May 27, 2014 at 07:00
We are riding on 30 million in the lotto tonight.
If you dont find me on wordpress after tonight, you will know I had a bloody heart attach.
Doug is a nightmare! 😦
He’s no longer allowing anyone into his flat because he says it is now too dangerous! 😦
He is now on antidepressants and sleeping pills and it looks like either he will get his shit together or he is going to lose his home, or even die! 😦
Needless to say I’ve had to keep him at arms length because the more I do for him the less he will do for himself, to the point that he feeds on sympathy like a leech.
Well: His attention seeking and ‘pity me’ behaviour has got him nowhere, neither has his ranting and threats, so now he has to get his shit together and start looking after himself.
He sells me to the local gangsters, spends over a year trying to prove me to be Gay, goes to ridiculous lengths to intimidate me and now I’m supposed to carry him!
Sometimes the only thing I can do is walk away… 😦
The weather here is cold, grey, occasionally wet and generally miserable – typical Bank Holiday weather in fact! 🙂
Good job I have nowhere to go today! 🙂
I think you will find that Doug has nowhere else to go
and has become the faithful puppy, no matter how far away you dump him
he will find his way home,
May 10, 2014 at 07:00
Thanks for popping by! 🙂
My dentist won’t treat the broken tooth or replace the filling unless I’m in pain because I’m an NHS patient.
If I go privately then no work is left undone… 😦
Doug IS past it, but likes to play the ‘Big Man’ to impress women even if he’s an ugly, unwashed, haggard, scruffy drunk.
The woman just took advantage of him, so now he’s playing on it for sympathy from me! 😦
Unfortunately for him I am wise to his games…
Have a peaceful Sunday my friend! 🙂
My bathroom is now officially behind schedule so I’m living in a building site and having to clean my teeth and shave in the kitchen! 🙂
I hoped for a designer shower system, but I’m getting a narrower bath and a shower curtain instead.
Cheap B****RDS!!! 😦
Doug got £6,290 off his mother’s estate which he has not declared so he gets free rent.
Oops! Just hit the wrong button!!! 😦
Now where was I? Oh yeah!!! 🙂
Needless to say, not declaring it is a crime (fraud) as he is getting his rent paid even though he can afford to pay it himself.
He asked a woman to clean for him and she’s heavily into drugs, so he blew £1,000 on drink and drugs as well as giving her £200 in advance for cleaning his place and now his keys, mobile phone and freeview set top box remote control have all gone missing.
He blames her – but you can bet he’s lost them in his shit hole of a flat! 😦
His kitchen has also flooded because of a leak upstairs, but of course this also has to be her fault… 😦
He was afraid to leave his home because she has a door key and both his magic keys, so I gave him a replacement lock, but he hasn’t fitted it yet because he is just too damned lazy! 😦
There’s no helping some people… 😦
God Bless! 🙂
April 18, 2014 at 07:00
Thanks for the visit and comments!!! 🙂
Yes little wins DO whet the appetite – and my dreams!!! 🙂
I use random numbers as I win more often that way! 🙂
Yes it was nice to get the money! 🙂
The cheque won’t clear until Wednesday, but when it does I’ll add £400 to my ISA which is tax free and continue earning interest as I save for my next toy!!! 🙂
Currently I’m dreaming of a Virtual Reality headset which should become available next year for the Playstation 4.
It’s all good fun! 🙂
Good to hear all is going well over your way Prenin.
A few dollars in the bank does give a good feeling.
Money may not buy happiness, but personally, I would like to find out
the truth in that statement on my own.
Good to hear all is going well over your way Prenin.

April 17, 2014 at 07:00
Yes it was a good day and the art work I’ve done has raised a few eyebrows! 🙂
Nice to get into drawing again and this week I was painting with acrylics so I spent most of my time cleaning my brushes as once it dries it is impossible to remove from them! 😦
Yes, Doug is planning a trip to Europe as part of some scam.
He’s tried to forge my identity on his paperwork and failed so now he is TELLING ME I have to fill it in for him when he gets the new form.
I don’t take orders from dickheads and NEVER from Doug!!! 😦
Third comment! 🙂
Yes, the MH370 mystery is deepening.
The sonar drone they are using isn’t able to handle the extreme depths it is being asked to go down to so, so far, there is no sign of wreckage.
They’ve found the sweet spot, but finding the plane is going to be the issue – and until they have answers this is going to be one of the strangest stories of our time…
Have a great week my friend – we’ve had a lot of sunshine, but the temperatures are slow to rise although my flat is warmer than it has been as we’ve had a horrible winter! 🙂
Great to know, that the progress of the renowned Leonardo Da Prenin, the artiste is going well.
Regards Doug, do yourself a favour and dont fill out any forms or sign anything for him.
He will draw you into hell and beaurocratic paperwork.
Have a great Easter mate.
April 19, 2014 at 07:00
Yes, one of my painting friends has done a Mona Lisa picture which looks good! 🙂
Mine are Pretty good for a beginner, but then I haven’t drawn anything in 30 years! 🙂
As for Doug?
Well ahead of you my friend – he’s breaking the law by doing what he has with his passport form and now expects me to bail him out!!! 😦
He left his flat on a beer run to the local shop so I stayed quiet in case he knocked on my door!!! 😦
You havent mentioned before Prenin, that you used to draw about 30 years ago.
Would be interested in seeing a few examples of your atistic drawings.
I posted three about a year ago, so I should have them on file somewhere! 🙂
I had a lot of pictures, but my friends raided me for them and I’m down to three or four.
Maybe I should have charged them! 😉
April 21, 2014 at 07:00
Be great to locate them and post them again Prenin.
I must have been dozing when you posted that blog, as I cant recall seeing them.
Hope your Easter was one of relaxation, serenity and enjoyment my friend.
April 11, 2014 at 07:00
Just caught your comments! 🙂
Yes, it turned out the packaging has been left in the hallway by one of my neighbours for some weird reason as they have perfectly good bins to dump it in!
Still: The Police appreciated my due diligence! 🙂
We’ve got the spring here with clouds and occasional bursts of sunlight, but at least the rain is getting less – it felt like England was drowning this past winter.
Hope you enjoy the change of seasons my friend! 🙂
My dentist is a dude! 🙂
Yeah the running around was exceptional, but I got everything done which was a blessing! 🙂
Oh YES! 🙂
The thought of winning keeps me trying, but the odds are long, however once I win I’ll not have to worry any more about the tricks, traps and con games the government has been putting me through! 😦
Hard to believe I have a life long illness yet I will have to re-apply for benefits every year in case a miracle should happen and I suddenly get my marbles back! 😦
It would be nice to hire somebody to look after me – if I could manage it then I’d have reason to buy a house! 🙂
The art class only lasts six weeks I’m afraid, then I’ll be left back at step one.
I have a leaflet offering the service of the Expert Patients Program which is 2.5 hours per week for six weeks to better help me manage my illness.
Given I’ve been ill for 20 bloody years I AM an expert!!! 🙂
I stopped taking them as soon as I’d seen the dentist and I’m sleeping OK so it looks like the withdrawal was easier than in the past – As you say, I’ve built up a resistance to them.
The good news is I’m sleeping better than I was before I took them, so it was a win-win situation! 🙂
Have a great week my friend – you certainly deserve it!!! 🙂
Greetings Prenin, sorry for the delay in catching up on comments.
Good to know, as I mentioned earlier, that alls well in your life.
Seems like the change of the season has put a bit of spring into your life Prenin.
The change of the seasons do affect our way of enjoying life, we are now heading into Winter.
The season of rain, pullovers, heaters and electric blankets, yet still the sun trys to shine.
Enjoy your Easter and warming sunshine my friend.
No worries – you got here in the end! 🙂
Yes it’s good to enjoy new company, but even the guy running it is weird!!! 🙂
I’m just glad to be away from the endless winter rains we had – What a nightmare!!! 😦
Sounds like winter in England at the moment!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Hope you have a pleasant winter my friend! 🙂
Love and hugs to you and Ana!!! 🙂
Hi Prenin, our summer is definitely over, bloody cold.
Electric blanket and heater time, although the days are still sunny.
I must be missing something here Prenin, I just found stacks of replys to my comments which I dont get in emails, shit I got some research to do, not just yours mate but lots of others, cheers.
April 9, 2014 at 07:00
Yes, Tuesday went well, but I was so groggy when I got back I forgot to post Monday’s blog, so I’ve just done it as well as Tuesdays! 🙂
I manage to get a new driver almost every time I use a taxi at the moment! LoL!!! 🙂
Oh to win the Jackpot… 🙂
You must have been quite groggy Prenin
Cant remember a time when you dont post on a daily basis.
Your back on track now mate.
April 6, 2014 at 07:00
Thanks for the visit and comment! 🙂
Yes, it WAS a busy day!!! 🙂
Doug likes to express his revenge fantasies and has done all the time I’ve known him and yet he has done nothing apart from getting threatening with me when he realised his fantasies were making me laugh! 🙂
He’s on his ninth suspension, but has more than enough money to live on even though he has yet to buy a car as he was planning on getting and he’s making a steady dent in his money by drinking which he swore he would not do.
Frankly he’s a fool to himself… 😦
Getting a car will definitely see the downfall of Doug.
Doug ,cars and alcohol is a timebomb.
I’m just praying he doesn’t kill somebody driving while drunk… 😦
The writings on the wall, and all the ingredients are there Prenin.
Thanks for the visit and comments! 🙂
The dental appointment is on Tuesday the 8th so I’ve quit my medication and have been taking sleeping pills so I’m sleeping and as the Olanzapine loses its grip I’m keeping to a morning wake-up time.
So far no sign of the horrors thank goodness!!! 🙂
The guys had cross-wired four intercoms out of nine and three still need to be done because the tenants are working, so there’s wires still hanging out of the conduits.
It could take a week before they are all fixed… 😦
Nicole of the great big Rottweiler had to buzz me to get in at 5.09pm as she’d forgotten her magic key so I’m leaving my intercom on in case she has further problems.
Katherine I met 30 years ago as a pen friend.
She needed to practice English and we’ve been writing ever since! 🙂
God bless my friend1
Thanks for the update Prenin.
Katherine must be pretty proficient in English by now.
I don’t know Ian, she stopped writing back years ago and it is rare to get a postcard from her, so the gloves were a nice touch! 🙂
She’s now on the internet and I send her jokes, but she still doesn’t reply.
Given what has been happening in Russia I can understand – looks like Uncle Vladimir is trying to restore the USSR in all but name… 😦

Yes it looks like the Bear is going to feed on its former allies and return them to the Russian fold whether they want to or not! 😦
I agree about the change in the order of things!
America is weakened and has a president who came to power promising that he wouldn’t start any more wars, so it’ll be interesting to see what comes next.
The only way Russia can be hurt is in trade as they take 21% of their income from the EU.
I live in a small one bedroom flat with barely room for the essentials! 😦
If I win the lottery I’ll buy a house and get a housekeeper – no more dragging the vacuum cleaner around!!! 🙂
I too dream of the lottery every time it comes around, but so far nothing… 😦
Yes MH370 is big news here too although they seem to have a problem finding Perth on the map!!! LoL!!! 🙂
I agree it looks like an elaborate suicide, but no notes have been found, or any clues as to why! 😦
I doubt if we’ll ever know the truth unless there is a major breakthrough… 😦
The changes keep coming as the government tries to strip benefits off as many people as possible leaving us all terrified as to what is going to happen next!!! 😦
You as a time served soldier should be protected from such changes, but they do seem to like screwing around with us all regardless of which country we come from… 😦
I agree: The Politicians SHOULD spend a year in benefits to make them appreciate what we have to survive on! 😦
The wages they get would keep me in clover for life!!! 😦
Yes, three cans and two kinds of Italian sausage made for a full belly and strange dreams, but well worth it! 😛
March 13, 2014 at 07:00
Good to hear from you! 🙂
Yes, I have reached the age where I cannot trust a fart! LoL!!! 🙂
There are toilets in the bus station which are repeatedly vandalised and a Café run by MIND where there are toilets which I can now use as I am a member!!! 🙂
Have a great week my friend! 🙂
March 18, 2014 at 07:00
Old age mate, is where you are legally allowed to Sneeze, Laugh, Fart and Burp
all at the same time as pissing yourself and coughing.
March 3, 2014 at 07:00
No worries mate – read when you can! 🙂
The appointment was with the charity MIND to see if they could help me, but more on that later! 🙂
Yes it was a good interview, but the train!!! 😦
I can do it – I can do anything if I set my mind to it – but it will not be fun… 😦
I agree Ian.
Blocking out the past is something she’s good at and she has rewritten the past to suit herself on more than one occasion.
Her relationship with my father was difficult for her too as she had to avoid giving him an excuse to beat her, but that just meant that he’d come upstairs and attack us… 😦
I guess we’re all trapped by our memories… 😦
Fourth comment!!! 🙂
I know what you mean about razors! 😦
Trouble is they stop selling the old blades and you have to buy a whole new one – frustrating!!! 😦
I wouldn’t go back to the old cut-throat blade though!!! 🙂
Fifth comment! 🙂
Yeah the weather is a big subject here in the UK! 😦
I have no aircon, just a fan, but it works well enough! 🙂
This kink in the jet stream is directing storms at us one after the other and even though it is bright and sunny outside my weather station is warning of more storms… 😦
God bless my friend and have a great day! 🙂
February 28, 2014 at 07:00
Glad to hear from you!!! 🙂
Yes, things are going well for the moment, but I had a visit off Doug to borrow my phone and he STANK!!!
He’s surviving on what food he can scratch for and has stopped drinking, so he’s gone back to ranting about everything he’s going to do to pay back the Jobcentre staff because he’s in his eighth suspension and has decided to either burn the place down, or use a hammer to cripple one of the staff who is particularly vindictive towards him.
If he followed through with all his threats over the past few years he’d be doing life, so I’m not holding my breath… 🙂
I’m just praying I win the lottery! 🙂
Yeah I joke about the paranoid schizophrenia, but it’s better than being depressed all the time! 🙂
What worries me is when I’m not on speaking terms with myself! LoL!!! 🙂
Have a great weekend my friend! 🙂
You made me laugh with the statement, when I’m not on speaking terms with myself, hehe
You definitely have a sense of humour that would go down well here in Australia.
Talking about Doug stinking, I think we all have a bit of BO,personally I will be glad when my birthday comes around, as I get to have my annual shower, makes the soap last longer, hehe.
Well Doug got his benefits yesterday and BATHED!!! 😮
He had clean clothes on and smelt of soap for a change! 🙂
Reminds me: Must have a bath sometime this year… 🙂
March 7, 2014 at 07:00
Little tip Prenin. I always wait till daylight savings comes in, then what you do is change the battery in your smoke detector, change your clock, change the towel in the bathroom, change your sheets on your bed, clean out the refrigerator.
And change your socks and underwear, daylight saving is a great reminder for us oldies.
Thankfully I’m not THAT bad, I change the bedding regularly and wash it the same day, the smoke alarm is checked every couple of months (It’s on mains power so doesn’t need a battery), the towels get washed once a year and the food is used up every month! 🙂
Socks and underwear get changed daily!!! 🙂
You can bet I’ve forgotten something though!!! 🙂
March 12, 2014 at 07:00
Think you have covered everything Prenin
Well done, haha
February 14, 2014 at 07:00
Yes they have woken up, but Cameron is using the floods to dump bad news in the hope that the media won’t spot it and is trying to ‘spin’ the situation to gain advantage.
Fortunately the media aren’t so dumb! 🙂
London flooded in 1928 and 1953, so a lot of people died which is why they built the Thames barrier.
The Powers That Be are sure that London won’t flood, but it’s going to depend on how much rain we get over the next few months… 😦
Second comment!!! 🙂
Yes I’m afraid we’re getting our butts kicked and no mistake!!! 😦
Cameron is FINALLY getting busy, but it’s all political sound-bites and half promises.
Thankfully the army is now being deployed because London is being threatened, but it’s a case of half measures and too little too late… 😦
I am doing my best to stay warm and dry, but it isn’t easy when you have to go shopping and have to dodge showers! 🙂
Thanks for the visit and comment my friend! 🙂
The MIND appointment is on the 20th, so a week to go yet! 🙂
I get Mobility allowance which gives me the money I need for transport, so not so bad! 🙂
It’s the lower rate, but better than a kick in the balls! 🙂
Glad you got the half price fares though: You are smart thinking ahead! 🙂
God Bless my friend!
February 13, 2014 at 07:00
Just caught your comment!!! 🙂
I have a tiled bedroom floor, hallway, bathroom and kitchen with a carpet in the living room.
Because there’s nobody living below me in the T&RA office there’s no heat to rely on and the guy upstairs from me doesn’t appear to use his heating. 😦
End result is it costs me more to heat my place.
With the weather hovering around 5’C and with the winds we’ve been having it has been hard to keep my home warm, but I’m used to it and have a blanket I cover myself with when listening to the iPlayer so I’m snug! 🙂
I’m with you on the Brandy and pork pies!!! 😛
Unfortunately current finances demand I make economies so I can afford the fare into Middleton when I go and see Neil Kerr from MIND.
With luck I should get the support I’ve needed for the past 20 years… 🙂
Hope you have a cool day and night my friend!!! 🙂
Thanks for your comment! 🙂
Not just grilled cheese: Mexicana chilli cheese!!! 😛
Mmmmm… I’m out of tomatoes, but I have Reggae Reggae Sauce – straight from Jamaica!!! 😛
I see another of these beauties in my future!!! 🙂
I’m glad you have the rain my friend – I sleep with a fan blowing on me during summer, but ours is nothing in comparison to yours!!! 🙂
Yeah our weather people KNEW we had trouble on the way, but played it down.
End result was that they declared a Red warning for wind as it was almost on us and it reached Gale force 12 with winds of 108mph and gusts of 112mph.
We had people blown off their feet in central Manchester, trees downed and structural damage to railway stations and buildings with one known death, many injured and over 10,000 homes without power.
The trouble is that today is just showers, but there’s another storm due Friday and another one over the weekend.
We are getting our butts kicked… 😦
Hope now its cooler that you and Ana get a good nights sleep! 🙂
God Bless and love to ya both!!! 🙂
Yeah HP branded inks are £25 for black and £30 for colour so I use compatible inks which cost £18 for both the black AND the colour together! 🙂
I’m glad you’re getting rain! 🙂
We had a major storm here last night: One dead that we know of and dozens of injured and near-misses!!!
They recorded winds of 108mph with gusts of 112mph and Manchester city centre was closed because of the violence of the winds!!! 😦
There was a lot of structural damaged and some railway stations had to be closed because their glass roofs were showering broken glass on commuters while some rail services were cancelled because of the risk to life.
Tens of thousands of homes are without power as I write, but we were OK here! 🙂
We’ve got a quiet day here at the moment, but there’s another storm due tomorrow and another major one predicted for the weekend, so it isn’t over yet. 😦
Do you think the government will finally believe in global warming???
Cameron is covering his ass and there are reports that he’s trying to bury bad news using the storms as a cover… 😦
God Bless my friend and stay cool!!! 🙂
February 9, 2014 at 07:00
Yes, ten bushfires are MORE than a cause for concern!!! 😮
The high winds fanning them would not improve things… 😦
I hope things cool down soon my friend – keep up the fluids!!! 😛
I’ll keep trying the lottery as I only need to win the jackpot once! LoL!!! 🙂
I might get a bit faint if I do win – my luck has been pretty poor so far… 🙂
We have hundreds of warnings out for the next few days, Somerset villages while southern and western coastal homes are being evacuated and now it’s the turn of the West to take a beating! 😦
Some parts of the country are cut off because the rail lines are blocked by landslides, fallen trees and one because the sea washed away a chunk of the sea wall on which the line runs!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26095937 for the latest news!
Sounds like you are seeing your own troubles.
Bush fires are bad enough, but add the wind… 😦
Hope you and Ana stay safe my friend! 🙂
Love and hugs to ya both! 🙂
Make that: “Somerset Villages are being evacuated” 🙂
Sorry about that – I got confused!!! 🙂
February 7, 2014 at 07:00
Yeah the weather is weird and violent at the moment and my electronic weather station has been flashing storm warnings for two months now! 😦
What has been hitting Scotland is unbelievable!!! 😮
Momma Nature sure is putting us under pressure… 😦
Changing my bedding is a job I hate because of the joint pain I go through, but when needs must… 🙂
I grab one end of the pillow and stuff it into the case, then beat it into submission! LoL!!! 🙂
Hope things get cooler soon my friend! 🙂
January 14, 2014 at 07:00
Yeah we get a lot of newly released criminals, so we get a high turnover of tenants and it’s hard to keep track of them.
Yeah when times were hard we looked after each other.
Now the trouble is over I don’t even know their names…
Yeah the flu bug is a pain, but I don’t get it every year, it just happens to be rife at the moment… 😦
Glad you get to see ‘Yes Minister’! 🙂
It makes you realise just how the system works… 🙂
Yeah Hugh is a thick retired Police officer who never retired and an expert on everything – until he screws up, in which case he’s on his phone to me and I’m supposed to figure out what he’s done via clairvoyance and tell him how to fix it!!! 😦
He NEVER admits to what he’s done to get where he is and ignores advice, so it’s a waste of effort I’m afraid… 😦
Yeah the winter weather is coming and the roads are tricky, especially as they have yet to start salting the roads.
I know what you mean about tyres – the thought of things being that hot is kind of scary… 😦
Take good care of yourself my friend and God Bless! 🙂
February 1, 2014 at 07:00
Hugh being a retired police cop and needing advice now and then seems a little scary to me
Makes me wonder what sort of a cop he really was, and what were his public communications skills like.
Our weathers are both in the extremes mate, you talk about salting the roads, here on our unmade gravel roads we actually hose them down in some places for the dust, once this heatwave calms down we end up getting dust storms that blow out the power.
Have a great weekend Prenin.
February 2, 2014 at 07:00
Hugh is a retired cop who never retired and he’s been treating me like a criminal since he met me.
He worked the Police National Computer system so he reckoned he was an expert and didn’t need help… 😦
Sounds like I should be happy with our winters!!! 🙂
The thought of dust storms is really scary!!! 😦
Hope you have a great weekend too my friend! 🙂
February 5, 2014 at 07:00
Good evening Prenin, doing the rounds of my comments and emails, cant believe I have got sar far behind.
Just cant get motivated here due to the fluctuations in our high temps.
Take it easy mate
Thanks as always for your visit and comment! 🙂
I seem to be over the flu and the cough is easing, so I should be fully fit by the weekend as I’m just coughing up crap when I get up.
I finished the bourbon and the beer, so now I’m stuck with a magic cup of tea! 🙂
The weather is getting colder, it’s 4.3’C at the moment and warning of yet more rain, so I’m trying to stay home as much as possible! 🙂
Hope things cool down for you soon dude – I couldn’t imagine living with the heat you get! 😦
God Bless my friend, love and hugs to you and Ana! 🙂
Definitely another hot day today, expected to hit 44, damn big difference with your temps at 4.3.
Hope by now you have got rid of the flu Prenin, think you are suseptible to it every year during the winter months.
Take it easy mate.
Yes there IS a big difference! 😦
I experienced 35’C a few years back and it wasn’t fun… 😦
I got rid of the flu OK, but the cough is still hanging on by its fingernails.
Still: Could be worse! 🙂
Wish I had a photo of baby Vincent to send you – he was the reason I missed Christmas with my God daughter’s family! 🙂
God Bless my friend and stay cool! 🙂
Sad you dont have a pic of Vincent, my step grandson in Chile is called Vincente
Believe in Spanish it is the same name for Vincent.
Try to keep in good health my friend.
Hi Ian, just dropping in on you to see how you are doing? and Hope this New Year is off to a good start for you and family… Sending you my thoughts and take care all of you..
Good morning Sue, thanks for the visit, this is not the best start to the year I have ever had.
A few days in hospital for explorative male surgery, ongoing pills etc, and a damn heatwave when I got out.
Things can only get better, Ana keeps me on the positive track.
Hope all is well with you.
January 6, 2014 at 07:00
Yep I have two dream tickets and a prayer on my lips! 🙂
As I have so often said: I only have to win once!!! 🙂
£105 Million will buy me an awful lot of beer!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Hope you win big soon my friend! 🙂
January 5, 2014 at 07:00
Just caught your comment! 🙂
Yeah I agree with Chris too Ian, Faeces book is an advertisers wet dream with all information scraped and sold so they can direct adverts to you on a more personalised basis.
I don’t like using it, but it’s the only way to keep in touch with Pat and the girls given that I dare not phone Pat on her mobile phone in case she’s driving as the stupid idiot will answer it while on the move!!! 😦
I have a rated IQ of 162 with an aptitude for logic while Pat took the same test and managed a pass of 176 – 200 is the maximum – but is incapable of driving sensibly!!!
Some people have oodles of brains and no common sense… 😦
10.22am here and I’m just about ready for bed, so I’m just popping in to read my email before turning in! 🙂
The coughing has eased, apart from when I cough up mucus every hour or so! 🙂
I agree about email – I still write to two pen friends every two weeks even though both are on the internet! 🙂
The cost is steep, but neither replies on paper.
Gina the American and I correspond on Faeces book while Katherine in Russia sends me a Christmas card once in a blue moon.
I email both of them with jokes on a near-daily basis, but neither replies in kind….
Snailmail is now a dying art form, but it has its place I guess! 🙂
Hope things are cooler with you.
Here it is 4.3’C and grey skied with warnings of more storms to come.
Flooding is now a major issue countrywide and the storms are predicted for the next week!
Being in a first floor flat on a hill I’m well above the waterline with the ground floor flats at risk from localised flooding only, but I have a lot of friends who are vulnerable, so it’s a major concern. 😦
Thankfully after a major flood that killed a lot of people in the sixties the river has been rerouted and widened, so these days it takes a lot to do damage! 🙂
Oh well: Time to check the email and head for bed.
The meds have helped my eyesight somewhat so I can read what I’m typing, but I feel more than ready to roll into my pit! 🙂
Have a great Sunday my friend – ours is going to be a tad damp… 🙂
I plan on stowing it in an interest paying account and live off the proceeds! 🙂
Andy can whistle for it – his last knife is still embedded below my right scapula! 🙂
Once I get my pilot’s licence I’ll pop by for a visit – does your local airport take 787’s??? 😉
The flu virus is hitting my area pretty hard according to my doctor, but the cough was made worse by having to go shopping.as I have no support.
It’s much better now and I have medicine for it, so I should be over it in a week or so.
I have to say I’ve had worse, so I know when to go see the doctor! 🙂
Right now I’m on the mend, so I’m happy! 🙂
Have a great Sunday my friend! 🙂
Thanks for the social visit! 🙂
The cough comes and goes, but it’s not as bad as it was and mostly involves coughing up mucus! 🙂
We’ve a lot of folks ill with flu at the moment as usual and this years flu jab doesn’t seem to be as effective as Andy had one and still caught it… 😦
Still: I’ll keep warm! 🙂
God Bless my friend and huge hugs to you and Ana!!! 🙂
No worries about the delay in visiting – life is what we have outside the blogsphere!!! 🙂
Yeah the brandy went down well and I had a glass of bourbon yesterday before bed! 😛
I still have an unopened bottle, but that’ll last as I’m not the heavy drinker I used to be, but these days it takes half a bottle to get drunk.
Alcoholic resistance is the price I pay for spending too much time in the bottle…
Hope you and Ana have a great 2014 my friend! 🙂
God Bless and be well! 🙂
December 24, 2013 at 07:00
Yeah I’m feeling better, but still coughing up a storm!!! 🙂
Hopefully I’ll be OK by Boxing day, but right now… 😦
Yeah Lillian is a good friend.
I used to look after her mother Peg when she had the flat on my floor, so we’ve known each other about 30 years! 🙂
Security IS a must I’m afraid: Kids around here grew up knowing they could do whatever they wanted and nobody could stop them, so we’ve had our share of attacks on the elderly… 😦
Yes, I got a bit down with being ill and everything. 😦
I’m feeling a bit better and my chest has improved, but I’m still coughing! 😦
Andy kind of knocked me off course for a while, but I’m back on track! 🙂
Just posting a website you should remember for the grandkids!
http://www.noradsanta.org/ which tracks Santa’s deliveries across the globe!!! 🙂
Oh well: Christmas Eve, the sun is out and the wind is blowing fiercely – Guess it won’t be a white Christmas this year, although there is snow in Scotland!!! 🙂
Have a great time Ian! 🙂
December 11, 2013 at 07:00
I try to look forward as the past was pretty miserable! 😦
I built a lot of good Christmas memories with Pat and Neil’s kids and they help take the sting away! 🙂
Hope you win Ian – I can’t think of anyone more deserving!!! 🙂
December 12, 2013 at 07:00
Didnt win Prenin, jackpots to 70 million next tuesday, if it doesnt go off then it jackpots to 100 million right on christmas eve, be bloody hard to get a ticket then as the queues will be a mile long, so have to get in early.
Yes, the storm was a bad one!
It passed here with just high winds and some rain, but the kids going to school were blown all over the place! 😦
The storm surge was worse than 1953 when thousands died, but the defences managed to keep most of it back and there were only two deaths, however a bunch of houses were washed into the sea when the cliff they were on eroded.
One guy lost everything but the clothes he was stood up in and another they managed to salvage the contents of their home which were locked in a shed only for the contents to be stolen!!! 😦
The window is supposed to be weather tight, but it isn’t and the air vent was damaged by a thrown brick when the Mallinsons were causing all the hassle, but my landlord won’t repair it… 😦
December 6, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, Osteoporosis is a devil without a cure and one I’m sorry to hear you also suffer from! 😦
I have ordered the only present I am allowed to buy for my friend and God daughter’s mum Pat, so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow or Saturday! 🙂
Santa usually comes with half a dozen Christmas cards containing much-needed money! 🙂
Hard to believe all the kids are grown up, but I know I am loved!!! 🙂
Have a great weekend my friend!!! 🙂
December 8, 2013 at 07:00
Been many decades since santa bought me a few christmas cards with money in them.
At least Prenin you are blessed with love, both giving and receiving.
Both leads to a beautiful christmas.
November 6, 2013 at 07:00
Not so bad today: Only 64 emails! 🙂
I DO get a headache occasionally from working on the PC, but then I just take a break and do something else for ten minutes! 🙂
Good idea! 🙂
I can speed through others comments and just answer a few, but I ALWAYS answer comments made to me directly! 🙂
No worries – real life comes first! 🙂
Hope you have a great week my friend! 🙂
November 1, 2013 at 07:00
The storm of Saint Jude did a lot of damage in the south of the country with six deaths reported, two from a gas explosion triggered by a falling tree! 😦
Here in Manchester we had torrential rain and strong winds, but missed the worst of it Thank God! 🙂
It only had 80MPH winds though – by the time it passed and hit the continent it was up to 115MPH! 😦
It caused so much damage because the trees were mostly in full leaf, giving the wind more to work with! 😦
Sue is on my friends list too! 🙂
I’m just glad she’s OK! 🙂
November 3, 2013 at 07:00
Good to know that you were spared the brunt of it Mate, are you experiencing a weird kind of winter Prenin ? seems to me the weather patterns are changing each year, here we are fluctuating between 36 degrees one day and back to 26 the next and the nights are still cold, damn summer here which I love, but I still have an electric blanket on at night.
November 4, 2013 at 07:00
What we’re getting DOES seem to be getting more extreme slowly, but it’s unpredictable so hard to get a handle on the pattern of weather events.
What I do know is we’re well into Autumn and feeling the cold (9’C at present) with a lot of wet weather and high winds coming in pulses about a day apart.
It’s all coming from the southwest at present so there’s plenty of moisture coming off the Atlantic.
To be honest it looks like we’re in for a bad winter, but I have a warm home even if my bills HAVE gone up 10% just lately.
It feels like my bills are constantly rising while my income doesn’t, but that’s a Tory government for you… 😦
November 5, 2013 at 07:00
I have noticed as I get older that I feel the heat in summer more now and the cold in winter also, we have to pay the cost of the electricity to keep the cooler and heaters going, its no good going into our elderly years, and depriving ourselves of a little luxury.
Hot Summer heading our way here, today was 32 and it gets higher as the months go by.
Wishing you all the best Prenin
October 29, 2013 at 07:00

October 17, 2013 at 07:00
Yep: The ladies at the Co-Op all know me and are great to get on with! 🙂
Even the shrewish June gets on with me these days! 🙂
The guys finished yesterday and it was a major refit of kitchen and bathroom which explains the racket!!! 🙂
My bathroom is now on their ‘to do’ list!!! 🙂
So far I have installed in excess of 200 windows updates so far and expect more as the system catches up! 🙂
Each batch makes the PC function better, but it is a slow process…:(
On the plus side I decide when to install the updates which gives me a little flexibility which I appreciate! 🙂
I’m still having problems with the Realplayer program, but it is all down to compatibility issues with Windows 8 and it’s use as an advertising platform by its creators.
Sneaky and devious, but a good way to make money… 😦
Have a great weekend my friend! 🙂
October 13, 2013 at 07:00
Yes I got it working OK.
Turns out the glitch is a power issue: I have to turn on the power and count to twelve before booting up so the PC power supply stabilises!!! 🙂
Yeah Sunday here too – pissing down and windy!!! 🙂
Yep: The jackpot is now up to £42 Million and I am daydreaming about what I’d buy!!! LoL!!!
Hope you have a great Sunday my friend! 🙂
God Bless and best wishes to you and Ana!!! 🙂
October 14, 2013 at 07:00
Good evening Prenin, thanks for the reply, I recall having a twelve foot long cord from my DSML, or whatever it was called, through to my com, I had to wait 15 minutes for all the info to carry across to the com before I could set it up, something to do with the speed of the net.
Hope your doing okay and life is not stressing you out, then again life stresses us all out these days.
October 9, 2013 at 07:00
The old PC died horribly and refused to restart, but thankfully I had backed up most of my files! 🙂
It was a big job that took an hour, but the new PC is dramatically faster and works better than my old one.
Learning to use WIndows 8 is a pain, but I’m getting there!!! 🙂
Rule one though: Get an external HDD and use it as a backup archive, that way if your PC DOES die you can recover most of your files! 🙂
Have a great week my friend and love to you and Ana!!! 🙂
I just caught your comment – still 28 to read – and yes, it’s good that people like the books, but I’d be happier of they were selling!!! 🙂
Wayne is a dude! 🙂
He gave me some advice which may come in useful in the future! 🙂
I agree about the smell of skunk cannabis – there was a day the Police arrested people for it because it’s a class ‘A’ narcotic, but they don’t seem to bother these days… 😦
October 7, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks for the visit and comment!!!
Yes, it WAS pretty grim and now my PC is dying, so it has been a pretty grim weekend!!! 😦
I plan on going silent for until the new PC arrives and I can get it installed, so don’t panic if you don’t hear from me for a few days! 🙂
Yes, printing ink IS expensive, but my printer is so old I can get reconditioned cartridges for a fifth of the price of a HP cartridge and containing far more ink!!! 🙂
Take care my friend and have fun!!! 🙂
October 8, 2013 at 07:00
Hi Prenin, going through my emails slowly, and should catch up with the latest on your new computer soon.
Hope its all installed and running, as for the ink cartridges,I dont like refills as my printer does not show warnings when the ink has run out, only indicates on new ones.
Hi Ian1 🙂
Got the new ‘puter and I’m busy installing everything, but I took a break to read my email! 🙂
It comes with a lot of preloaded software so I only have a few programs to replace! 🙂
Windows 8 is nothing like XP and takes a bit of patience to figure out, as did the setting up of the PC because it uses a dongle to link the wireless keyboard and mouse to the PC which I had to figure out! 🙂
I know what you mean about most modern printers: They are designed to keep you loyal! 😦
Hope you have a great week my friend!!! 🙂
October 3, 2013 at 07:00
I think if Obama decided to pass a bill Deifying Ronald Reagan they’d still try to block it.
This is an attempt to bring down the Obama administration pure and simple.
Be interesting to see how this scenario plays out Prenin, and what affect it will have around the world, including the stock market,
October 2, 2013 at 07:00
First comment!!! 🙂
I think he posted it through because I didn’t hear him knock, but what I was supposed to do with it was beyond me…
Yep: I posted it back through his door and heard nothing from him since, but I know when he runs out of money he’ll be back begging again…
Yes, it looks like everyone is facing the pinch.
We have families who have been unemployed for four generations who milk the system and get away with it because they are experts on what they can claim! 😦
Those like me who have genuinely tried to find work and are now ill are now being persecuted because of the minority.
The trouble is that this government has demonised single parents, the poor, the disabled and now are turning the screws on the unemployed again, trying to squeeze the unemployed into whatever jobs they can find with employers who take advantage of their desperation by paying the minimum wage and less with no hope of a future.
Millions are on ‘Zero Hour’ contracts which require you to be available on short notice regardless of how much work is available and not to work for any other firm while living without a wage.
Providing the jobs actually exist – and the bad news is that they don’t…
Now they are legislating against the illiterate and the mentally ill, trying to force us into looking for work even if we are too unfit to do so.
If I could get a decent job I wouldn’t be struggling to survive on benefits that’s for sure!!! 😦
Unfortunately I have an illness that makes me the target of much discrimination which is unfair and damaging.
Politicians are only interested in themselves and if they have to destroy the lives of ‘little people’ then so be it – we are Plebs after all…
Fourth comment. 🙂
Yep: And Boy! Do I regret being right… 😦
Hard to believe just how badly Republicans want the end of Obamacare – must be affecting their incomes, or future employment prospects…
As for the dying rear! 🙂
Turned out to be a problem with the water supply – two of my neighbours had stomach problems the same as me and both drank water without boiling it! 😦
The tap water now tastes of chemicals, but my insides are back to normal! 🙂
Hope you have a good week my friend! 🙂
Love and hugs to you and Ana! 🙂
September 28, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks as always for the visit and comments! 🙂
Yes, Mr. Petrov saved the human race! 🙂
Hard to believe we were on the brink of annihilation for most of my life… 😦
Oh yes! I remember the series!!! 🙂
In this case probably not.
No trees, just a grass covered landscape and I don’t remember any buildings, but I do remember an unusual necklace one of the women was wearing! 🙂
My dreams are sometimes so vivid I have trouble reattaching to reality for a few minutes on waking… 🙂
October 1, 2013 at 07:00
Hi Prenin, is rather scary to think that one person could hold the key to our oblivion.
Then again after the shit hits the fan we wouldn,t know anyway.
At least your dreams, my friend, do not appear to intrude on your every day life in a negative way.
I dread my dreams every night, probably why I try to self medicate with alcohol at night, kills the nightmares but I still wake up sweating and know, that even if I cant recall the dream, it was not a good experience.
I know what you mean Ian! 😦
I used to get nightmares every night when I was a kid, but woke up knowing better than to scream!
Dad DID NOT like to have his night disturbed… 😦
Since I left home I rarely have nightmares, but I can still remember the old ones.
Hope things improve for you my friend! 🙂
Nightmares are just a fact of life for me now Prenin, funny as you get older, I have found, they are not as scary, but still they bring disturbing memorys.
Hope one day mate, your past will fade and you will find serenity in the present, away from troubles and the vexing day to day trivia that hounds our lives.
Thanks Ian! 🙂
Same for you my friend! 🙂
Greetings Prenin, and as always, a pleasure to have you in my wordpress site
Wishing you well old mate, keep the lotto tickets going, might need to borrow a few dollars off you one day, hehe
September 25, 2013 at 07:00
Glad you’re finally getting back to normal! 🙂
You weren’t the only one: I had a chat with a woman who was having exactly the same kind of problems you were having! 😦
Hope we’ve seen the last of them! 🙂
At least its a comfort to know I wasnt the only one with wordpress problems.
Otherwise I would have kept thinking it was me and my com.
September 24, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks for visiting my blogs, Ian. It was fun for me looking back to the start of our trip in April this year, when we had the good fortune to meet you and Ana in Mildura. Hope you are both well. Have a good week. Love, Auntyuta.
Hi Auntyuta, lovely to hear from you, do hope you and Peter are doing well and in fine health.
I am slowly getting my wordpress back into production and see I have a few of your blogs I have yet to catch up on, I have glanced through some but as yet not read them fully , but will be doing so soon.
The weather is getting hotter here in Mildura, 34 yesterday so Summer is right on us.
Wishing you both much love and happiness.
Ian, Ana and Emu

I have been so busy lately I have not had the time to comment on anyone’s site. Currently putting a few short articles together and adding a short video with them to so what type of effects I will receive. Then I also had some struggles with those whose heart are too dark to even dance with on any level so I thought I would lay low and go silent for a while.
September 14, 2013 at 07:00
Good morning Michelle, lovely to hear from you after such a long time, you certainly have been lying low, I am sorry to hear that you have been enduring negative vibrations that have darkened your world, in todays society we all are faced with growing negativity on a daily basis and its a never ending struggle to keep oneself above them.
I wish you much love and happiness and a light heart.

Things are as they are but things are beginning to come around and that which had me in a position of confusion is now beginning to bring about new enlightenment. It all began with a drum I was driven to find and obtain.
Sound simple, but it became a spiritual blessing and a nightmare all rolled into one. From March until recently this was a full on nightmare. It was a lesson, adventures, turmoil, awakening and many things rolled into one.
Yes, it has been a year of test and challenges, but I do think it is now going to be a year of advancements. A few short facts after the drum; which was to be a medicine drum, [one] [two] possess spiritual awakening powers and teaching.
Lately: it has helped to save a life before it got past the point of no return. My medicine dog she-draw and then instructing me in accomplishing certain things that worked out better than expected and helped me save time.
Prayers sent have been able to help people so the spiritual medicine power of the drum and pipe is what I really needed and now things are really beginning to turn around>
Now how are you and your wife doing these days it has been so long since we chatted. Then after you got married I did want to back off for a time so she would realize we were only friends.
Now blessing to you two and I hope all the time it took for you to get things together was worth it and you now walk on clouds of great happiness.
November 27, 2013 at 07:00
Greetings Michelle, a pleasure and a lovely surprise to hear from you, sounds like you have been very active in the spiritual sense, also appears to have been a very trying time for you, such is the path we walk as our life has already been ordained.
Ana and I are both well, Ana returned to Chile for three months to meet her grandson, I now have 5 grandchildren all born within six weeks of each other, three girls and two boys.
Life has been enjoyable lately, we have visited the oceans and the breathed the fresh air of the mountains, maybe one day in the future I will return to Chile for a holiday, I love the harbour city of Valparaiso.
Wishing you much love and happiness Michelle.

Wishing you a good weekend Ian, and sending my love to Ana,
August 24, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks Sue for the visit, love the pic of you in the corn, could be the reincarnation of the corn Goddess.
Ana has been home since Monday and has me confused with the timings , after 14 hours difference daytime gets confused with nightime but slowly getting back to normal, one thing I know is that my holiday is definitely over.
Have a beaut weekend Sue.

Thanks for the comments! 🙂
I suspect they have badly damaged it and failed to make the initial repair, so it looks grim.
The shop doesn’t sell games consoles, they just claim to fix them. 😦
Yep: A small win, but it beats nothing! 🙂
Sorry you are still having email problems, but the whole system seems to be in trouble.
I had to use the https:// prefix to get onto your blog which should be working properly by now!
Each to their own I guess Ian! 🙂
When I was a kid I loved cowboy films, but these days I prefer science fiction.
John Wayne was my favourite actor at the time and his untimely death by cancer was hard to accept.
I loved the Bogart films as my grandparents used to watch them on TV when I was a kid!
I’m still laughing!!! 🙂
I should have kept him longer, but I gave him a hard time all the same! 🙂
These scammers seem to be proliferating – I guess it’s easier than writing a kick-ass virus!!! 🙂
Love the idea of having him call back when you’ve bought a computer!!! PMSL!!! 🙂
Yeah there’s good and bad in the world and wars that should never have been fought, but it’s the winners who write the history books. 😦
Jane Fonda isn’t somebody I’m well up on, but I guess that’s just as well! 😦
Hope you have a great weekend my friend! 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to give me a great response Prenin, looks like you have everything under control in your world at the moment, here I am still all over the place like a mad womans shit with this WordPress, but dont give a damn anymore, what will be will be, hope you are enjoying a great weekend mate.
Take it easy and try to relax in life, life still goes around and we still breathe.

It went ‘sort of’ OK, but I won’t know more until next month.
Kathryn turned out to be an Angel and she had a woman with her who will be taking up the job too!!! 🙂
I cracked up a bit, but that was no bad thing as it proved I wasn’t 100% and Kathryn told me to contact my doctor and get him to arrange a support worker.
It’s not over yet: I have a phone interview at 1.50pm on the 23rd so I have that to go through.
Having people pay so much interest after decades of neglect is a strange feeling…
Yes my friend: One day at a time. 🙂
August 16, 2013 at 07:00
Not a bad thing Prenin to have people starting to take an interest in your welfare, I had to accept help from Veterans affairs a few times, just had to admit that certain things I can no longer cope with, you will get used to it and start to enjoy the assistance.
August 10, 2013 at 07:00
Glad you were able to Post Ian.
I’ve had to use the https:// prefix repeatedly to get to people’s blogs and resorted to email when that didn’t work!!! 😦
I’d swap Obama for Andy any day – if only because Obama takes personal hygiene seriously while Andy does not! 🙂
Hope things get back to normal soon – I guess we’re all pretty tired of this mess as it’s getting on to a month now since the IWF and the ISP’s blocked WordPress due to one pervert!!! 😦
August 11, 2013 at 07:00
Still hanging in there with this wordpress crap, even contacted their forum for advice and still no answer, do you know any other way to contact wordpress without having to post it onto a forum and hope somebody responds ? seems I cant get a direct answer from wordpress without posting to a forum, then nobody might even respond as they are not interested.
Sorry Ian, I have no idea! 😦
Everything WordPress seems to do needs to go through the forums.
I’ve not reached the point of tearing out my hair yet, but I’m getting there… 😦
Hope you get your problems fixed soon!!! 🙂
August 12, 2013 at 07:00
Going bloody bald here mate, damn shit wordpress should have sorted this crap out by now, even the old My Space would have fixed it by now.
I agree… 😦
I’m using the https:// prefix to get into some blogs and others work fine without it! 😦
If it was a clearly defined problem we could at least work around it, but it seems random!
Two days ago I needed the prefix to get into my blog and today it’s fine!!! 😦
What a useless bunch of twonks…:(
God bless – and invest in a wig!!! 🙂
Might go back to letters and post offices and postage stamps mate.
Smoke signals get my vote!!! LoL!!!
Hope it gets better for you soon Ian – my connection went down at one point and I had to restart my PC and modem!!!
My BIOS battery needs replacing so I’m having to enter my date and time every time I boot up my PC.
I’ve done it before, but it wasn’t straightforward… 😦
Here’s hoping things improve! 🙂
Still not much luck yet Prenin, hopefully all will be well next week.
August 1, 2013 at 07:00
Gremlins in the works it sounds like!!! 😦
I couldn’t access my own blog today until I used the https:// prefix.
This whole thing is just one long farce!!!
I’m going to try and check my own mail settings – but I may not be able to access them given what’s been going on!
According to Tom it’s all because of one pervert here in the UK and both WordPress and the Internet Watch Foundation are involved! 😦
What A Mess… 😦
I havent been getting any emails notifying me when someone has posted, this has gone on for a few days now, decided to check out settings and found that all my settings had been altered on ALL my friends to the receive email notification, being changed to off, no way had I done that, seems wordpress has had a hand in it. I had to go through and reset each one individually again, maybe it will pay to pass it around for friends experiencing the same problem , to recheck their settings.
Certainly stuffed it up for many of our friends Prenin.
August 2, 2013 at 07:00
I’ll add a comment to my blog for my readers.
This is such a farce it is no longer funny!!! 😦
I’m able to access my dashboard OK if I use the https:// prefix, but not otherwise.
First they fix a problem, then it comes back all over again…
August 7, 2013 at 07:00
Getting nowhere with my problem mate, frustration is starting to set in.
July 31, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, this mess is continuing to give everyone the red arse!!! 😦
I’m slowly getting back some access to friend’s blogs and Tom told me to use the https:// prefix which allows me to access any blogs that have problems.
Even so it’s a slow and frustrating process…
Hope you get sorted out my friend – my frustrations are bad, but at least I get emails telling me when friends have posted blogs and commnets!!! 🙂
God Bless ya!
July 28, 2013 at 07:00
Yep I love thunderstorms too, but prefer to stay dry!!! 🙂
The humidity can be a pain – suddenly you go from comfortable to sweaty and uncomfortable! 😦
The heat hasn’t changed, it’s just harder for the sweat to evaporate.
Thank God for my fan!!! 🙂
I relaxed my food regime and had a month of ham and tomato sandwiches, so I put on weight.
I’m back counting calories, but it looks like I’ll have to give up the fruit juice… 😦
God bless my excellent friend!!! 🙂
Yes WordPress will fix the problems eventually, but it must be serious given that we are now into week three and I have only occasional access to people’s blogs!
To make matters worse I keep getting dumped in the Spam folders of my friends!!!
Facebook are a pain, which is why I don’t use it much – so much for freedom of speech!!! 😦
Yep: As long as the newspapers are independent then the political mob will never silence us for long!!! 🙂
Such is Big Brother indeed!!! 😦
July 21, 2013 at 07:00
I’m having major problems accessing other people’s blogs at the moment so I made a reply on my blog for you! 🙂
Getting to yours seems to be a bit hit-and-miss at the moment, I’m just glad I was able to post replies!!! 🙂
Here’s a copy of my reply!!! 🙂
He’s still standing because the booze hasn’t killed him yet and the bags contain food and cider! 🙂
He’s a waking disaster and I now don’t help him because of him telling Tony I was a paedophile, but he still tries to act like there’s nothing wrong and he can talk me back into helping him.
Still can’t access your blog because of the WordPress problems.
Probably won’t see it fixed until Friday going off past experience…
July 22, 2013 at 07:00
See by a couple of your blogs that you really are having a hard time of it with wordpress Prenin, I am haveing a few hiccups but not to serious, seems wordpress probs are giving everyone a headache one way or another, hope it all sorts itself out soon, its a bloody pain in the arse.
July 19, 2013 at 07:00
Yes it is scary how so many elderly, sick and very young are vulnerable to hot weather here in the UK.
Most of our problems are usually around wet weather and winter time.
Hot spells like this one killed 15,000 people in France a few years back.
Here they ran out of space in the mortuaries and had to use refrigerated trucks to store the bodies.
Hot weather can be a killer if you’re not ready for it… 😦
Yep: Our summer runs from May to August, but hot weather is very unpredictable I’m afraid.
We’re likely to see just three weeks of hot weather if we’re lucky and only because the Jet Stream has kinked and moved North, dragging in the heat.
Yes, KITT was my favourite car and I really enjoyed the series! 🙂
Holograms are on their way.
There’s been some good results in Tech labs, but it’s early days yet! 🙂
I agree with the analogy: Weather prediction is indeed an art! 🙂
Hope things warm up for you soon! 🙂
Yes I recall when you had to use refrigerated trucks over your way during one of your worst heatwaves.
Lets hope it doesnt occur again, but we cant guarantee the future with global warming, and the weather patterns are changing all over the world.
Very true unfortunately.
The experts have been warning of this for decades and nobody listened.
Now the crap is hitting the fan and those in power are trying to ignore it…
July 17, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, multiculturalism is OK as long as they assimilate into the country.
The problems start when they expect everyone else to be like them and get nasty when they don’t succeed.
Pandering to them doesn’t work, things just get worse!
Now we’re getting people murdered by Islamist maniacs on the streets and the government is having to fight with the European Court of Human Rights to deport terrorists who are wanted in other countries.
It took £7 Million to get rid of Abu Qatada and eight years fighting through the courts!
That means we are one maniac less in this country with God alone knows how many others ready to step into his shoes!!!
Ten years ago all our taxi drivers were white, but were able to make a good living because there were around 60 cars per firm and the work didn’t have to stretch far.
Then the Asians took over the companies and Asian drivers from all over Lancashire showed up, many speaking poor English and others happily smoking dope between jobs when they weren’t cheating their customers, the companies increasing the number of cars to a hundred plus each chasing the same limited pool of customers!!!
The latest news on that front is that the Police are supposed to be investigating how two or three drivers at a time have been using the same licence while drawing money from the Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), but every time things get interesting the drivers use the race card!!!
We’ve also had several Asian paedophile rings exposed who were abusing under-age white girls and it turned out the Police and Social Services knew, but turned a blind eye to the girl’s plight, deeming it to be ‘a Lifestyle choice’.
Now the truth is out the Police and various social services have been papering over the cracks of multiculturalism by trying to say a child is more likely to be abused by a white male than an Asian male.
There was a piece on radio 2 about it some months back and an apologist from the NSPCC tried to make out that it was more of a white problem than an Asian one and an Imam shot him down in flames!!!
Now people are being murdered in the streets by homicidal Muslims and terrorists are targeting mosques with pressure cooker bombs!
We don’t know who planted the bomb yet, but you can bet that there will be more… 😦
The worst part is that those who assimilate do really well while those that don’t get envious and start kicking up a stink, expecting us to provide them with the same lifestyle while they do nothing!
I do not see a good end to this… 😦
July 18, 2013 at 07:00
Here is an article I wrote that is currently circulating in Australian newspapers Prenin, let me know what you think.
Australia;s border protection and internal security have now placed Australia in the league of countries that have, too late, woken up to the fact that multiculturalism based on humanitarian grounds has given rise to astronomical financial costs as well as providing a breeding ground for home grown terrorists.
Multiculturalism will not, and cannot work, until a definitive programme of assimilation… is promulgated through our parliamentary system, a system demanding acceptance of our constitution and all laws thereunder.
Australia;s security is currently operating completely dysfunctional, there is no cohesive link between Federal customs, border security, internal security and all its state beaurocratic departments.
We need a government that can implement , through parliament, a single system from the highest level down to the local level in regards to refugees, boat people.
There is no current cohesive system in place as we have seen recently, with a red flag alert on one potential resident into our community. We are open for home grown terrorism.
We allow radical clerics to preach anarchy and public unrest whilst allowing them to preach under the rights of Freedom of Speech, freedom of speech does not give anyone the right to speak virtual treason against Australia, whether it be political or cultural. Freedom of speech is not a free ticket to infiltrate and bring on disharmony and unrest in Australia.
One other point I wish to bring out is the rising rate of crime in Australia.
We now have a monumental problem financially and socially, with non born Australian residents, now going through the revolving doors of our courts and legal systems. We are seeing many Non Australian born first time offenders and many multiple recividists, non born Australian residents facing our judges, some are placed back into society and many incarcerated, criminals such as bikies, drug smugglers, boat people smugglers , and the many other crimes that our society is inflicted with. The amount of money involved in the legal system, courts, incarceration and rehabilitation is astronomical, no, the government wont give you these figures.
All these problems we have bought upon ourself, through the lack of any government, that had no foresight for Australia;s security, nor any integrity to implement a cohesive security programme for all emmigrants, be it boat people, normal emmigrants, refugees, or visa holders.
It is too late to change what is, but not too late to change what will be.
A zero policy on crime must be passed through parliament to cease this asylum .refugee problem.
A policy that states , under law, that all non Australian residents convicted of a felon, by an Australian court of law, be deported to their country of origin, not only the felon, but his immediate non born Australian family.
Maybe this will bring home to all emigrants that not only do you place your own residency in jeopardy, but your family as well.
Feel free to exercise your rights as granted to you by the Australian people.
The right to freedom of speech, the right to your religion, the right to your culture, but do not assume you can change the Australian way of life or culture, by hiding under the umberella of Freedom of Speech
You just described what is happening here in the UK.
To give you an idea how far the apologists have gone, the daily call to prayer during Ramadan is being played on Channel 4.
They don’t play bells when it is time for the church services…
There was a piece in the news about the mosque bombing.
Two Eastern European men have been arrested, one aged 25 and one aged 35.
Also one of the killers of Drummer Lee Rigby has been attacked in prison and is now missing two of his front teeth.
The killer of Lee Rigby would be missing more than two front teeth if I was sharing his cell, I would send him to Allah with his head under his arm and his balls down his throat.
The latest news indicates he lost his teeth in a struggle with the warders who used legal restraint methods.
What a shame… 😉
There were two killers, both black Muslim converts, who are now facing trial for murder.
Chances of a technical aquittal is the only hope they have of avoiding full life terms.
Given the mountain of clear evidence tying them to the killing I doubt if they’ll plead not guilty… 🙂
Hope there would have been a rope waiting for them, let them take the long drop.
Oh how I wish! 😦
We have people on whole life sentences who will never be released who deserve the long drop, but we are a civilised country who don’t behead people in the public square like some I can mention…
July 16, 2013 at 07:00
Ganz anders in unseren australischen Landschaft.
Ich wünsche Ihnen viel Glück und Liebe Lieber Freund.
Pen is still having problems with other blogs sending her to the spam bin, but as each one is fixed she gets more and more access so she’s happy! 🙂
Yeah the firemen – and women – do a fantastic job at great risk to themselves.
Arsonists get my goat – we had a lad set fire to a bunch of train wagons when I was a kid and I got the blame so dad beat the crap out of me!
My brothers and our friends had to go to the Police station and give statements to prove I was with them when the fires were started!
When the truth came out the arsonist hid under his parents couch so his dad couldn’t beat him, screaming like a wild animal!!!
Maybe the volunteer fireman had a problem with starting fires to begin with which is why he joined up?
We have a fire bug around here who used to set fire to peoples curtains and we have one at the moment who keeps trying to set fire to one of our drain pipes on the ground floor.
If I catch him I’ll break his bloody fingers!!! 😦
Made me laugh with that last statement Prenin hehe, have you considered cutting his hose off and restricting his water supply hehe.
And maybe make him eat it??? 🙂
The thought DID cross my mind!!! LoL!!!!
Wow Prenin , you are one hell of a nasty Mother F****er, hate to meet you in a dark alley late at night, hehe.
Thanks for popping by!!! 🙂
Yes, it’s uncomfortably warm in the day and humid and breathless at night, but not above 27.3’C so far! 🙂
I couldn’t imagine 47’C – I’d probably melt!!! LoL!!!
Bushfires scare me: I had burns when I was a kid and that was a lesson I’ll NEVER forget!!!
Both Lillian and I have portable fans, not aircon, but if things get any warmer or I buy a house I’ll see what is available!!! 🙂
Glad you got yours checked out – we have our central heating boilers checked every year to make sure they are working properly!
Ironic: We are prepared for cold winters, but not warm summers!!! 🙂
Hope you win big soon my friend!
Hi Prenin, thanks for the visit, hope all is well over your way, I like to keep up on overseas news and whats going on around the world, hope Australia doesn.t go down the path of Britain with our refugee problem, for my way of thinking, multiculturalism based on humanitarian grounds can never work, well thats my soapbox for the evening.
July 15, 2013 at 07:00
July 13, 2013 at 07:00
Just caught your third comment! 🙂
I found four of her comments in the spam folder and restored them, but apart from her leaving a few comments on friends blogs I’ve heard nothing from her… 😦
Yes, God knows – and I look forward to our first meeting with the almighty!!! 🙂
Yeah it was a lovely day too, so I stayed dry! 🙂
Having to ride in a car with a tired driver was NOT fun. 😦
Still: Traffic was average and there were no demands for an emergency stop! 🙂
Yes, Hobgoblin ale comes from the Wytchwood brewery and is 5% so quite potent! 🙂
I could just imagine Harry Potter getting blasted on it!!! 🙂
Yep: I bet you would swap my friend! 🙂
We’re not used to warm weather (This year has been the coldest and wettest winter for over 100 years) and we’re looking at 30’C today so I am thinking cool thoughts! 🙂
Hope things warm up soon for you my friend.
Here’s praying you hit the jackpot dude! 🙂
July 5, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, the firemen are true heroes – I still feel sick at the thought of how they died…
I won £2.40, so that’s going towards next week’s tickets! 🙂
Oh to win the Big One!!! 🙂
July 10, 2013 at 07:00
Yes the firemen are really homegrown heroes that really do place their lives on the line, like the twin towers catastrophe.
Dont go splurging that money all in one go mate, save a bit for a rainy day lol.
The Snowden thing has developed into a case of high farce with the banning of the Bolivian jet from European air space in the belief he was aboard! 😦
We are talking Political backlash here!!! 😦
Thanks for the best wishes for Richard – apparently several football clubs are sniffing around!!! 🙂
With the fun and games I’ve been put through so far I’m hoping for it to go quietly! 😦
Greetings my friend Prenin, been a bit slack getting around to reading and commenting on blogs lately but always make an effort to try and catch up with everyone, the Snowdon fiasco is still going on and probably will for a long time, dont think I will become a whistleblower or hacker, too much crap.

July 1, 2013 at 07:00
Congratulations on the win – may you win big next time!!! 🙂
Got two syndicate tickets in tonights draw mate, cost me $50 dollars each but think I have more luck being in syndicates, tonights draw is worth $50 million, got $18 dollars back for my last investment of $100 dollars.

Thanks for visiting and the comments! 🙂
Yep: Sounds like we’re alike weather-wise at the moment! 🙂
Oh how I wish you’d win!!! 🙂
With that kind of money you’d be able to buy a house of your own! 🙂
I have to go solo, but I love to daydream of what I’d do with the money!!! 🙂
Yep: Life is good despite no sign of the Golden Eagle! 🙂
Yeah Mick Aston taught at four Universities as well as doing the ‘Time Team’ digs and was famous for his brightly coloured jumpers! 🙂
He made a few stains in the dirt make perfect sense and took you back to when there were buildings stood there.
He’s going to be remembered for a long time… 🙂
The ankle is fine again thankfully: Living alone I can’t afford to be injured as I have nobody to help me…
June 25, 2013 at 07:00
Next lottery draw is Tuesday – £157 Million is up for grabs!!! 🙂
Oh how it is to dream!!!:)
Good luck Prenin, our lottery is 30million tonight and on Saturday night, couldnt afford a ticket in tonights but will definitely have one on Saturday, costs me $49 dollars but I have 50 chances.
June 16, 2013 at 07:00
Just popping by to see if you’re OK! 🙂
God Bless my friend!!!
June 17, 2013 at 07:00
Hi Prenin, tests are all in and so far all is looking great, just have to have more tests in three months to make sure everything is okay, just wish I could shake of this bloody flu.
Thank GOD for that!!! 🙂
I thought the worst – but then I do tend to worry a bit!!! LoL!!!
You take it easy my friend and keep up the fluids – it’s not flu season here thank goodness, but I’ve been where you are now and it’s not fun having to cope alone when you’re ill!!! 😦
God Bless my friend and get well soon!!! 🙂
June 19, 2013 at 07:00
All clear sailing now Prenin in regards to health, apart from the dregs of the winter flu that is hanging around me like dags on a sheeps arse.
Oh a Guestbook how lovely , just popped in to take a Look.
Enjoy your Weekend
Hi Sheila, thanks for the visit and comment, our weekend was very cold and wet, I spent most of the time in bed with a good case of the flu which I cant seem to shake off, thats why I havent been around the net much lately.
Wishing you well and hope you are in great health.

They sell Lithium Ion batteries that are 90 times more powerful than Alkaline batteries, but I can’t find any shop in Middleton that sells them.
As soon as I have the money saved I’m going to order some over the web.
Thank God for Internet shopping!!! LoL!!! 🙂
One thing I have never tried Prenin, is internet shopping, much like I have a fear of internet banking.
I use internet banking, but all my online purchases are made with a credit card as a rule: 30 days insurance and good security means I don’t lose money if things go bad! 🙂
So far I haven’t had a problem with it, but if anyone steals my details I can stop the card and that blocks any attempt to raid me! 🙂
The only times I had to cancel my credit card was when one was stolen by Darren’s fake gangster friend and when Sony was hacked!!! 🙂
Sounds like you have good safeguards in place with your banking Prenin.
Still it scares me the whole idea.
Wishing you well mate.
Yeah it’s a problem with the new cameras that they eat memory, but 240 shots seems so little these days when they are talking Thousands of shots! 🙂
The charger problem is common: Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t, but you are set now so no worries!!! 🙂
8,000 shots beats the hell out of my humble 1,961! LoL!!! 🙂
As you say though: Well worth it! 🙂
The phlegm problem has been going on since I was put on Olanzapine a decade ago, but most of the time I have no serious problems with it apart from if my nose gets blocked, in which case I get a dry throat and it needs Semtex to shift it – usually triggering a vomiting attack.
As the years have past the vomiting has become rarer and rarer, but it still means I have to clear it before I can go shopping in case it happens outside my home.
Given time I’m sure it will solve itself – not that the doctor can help… (Sigh!)
Let me know how things go with the doctor dude – they should have a fair idea of what’s wrong with the cat scan alone and no matter what there will be good options! 🙂
Will know on Friday mate, hopefully its all something mundine.
June 6, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, I ordered the camera, a pouch for it and an 8Gig memory card! 🙂
Providing it is posted tomorrow I should have it all by next week! 🙂
My old camera has a dodgy switch which cannot be repaired, but I had it for many long years so I’m content! 🙂
Amazing what features these new cameras have!!! 🙂
Pat and I normally have a small celebration at her place with the girls giving me money in my birthday cards, so this year I plan to surprise them all with gifts.
It won’t be jewellery, but copies of my books!
I dedicated ‘Jabberweil hunt’ to Becky and ‘Songs of Angels’ to Emily, so they’ll be delighted! 🙂
Trouble is that the order will make a dent in my reserves, but it’s important to me that they get something to treasure! 🙂
June 10, 2013 at 07:00
Hope you get as much enjoyment out of your camera as I do out of mine Prenin.
They are certainly a great piece of technology these days, mine is a virtual computer.
A beautiful gesture in dedicating your books to Becky and Emily.
Aussie Ian aka Aussie Emu
June 11, 2013 at 07:00
Yep: These modern cameras are amazing!!! 🙂
This one sorts out focus, shutter speed etc. and even waits until the subject’s eyes are open before taking the shot!!! 🙂
It produces a shot of 16Megapixels in size so you can print them as posters!!! LoL!!!
Carry on at this rate and soon we’ll be wearing our cameras!!! 🙂
Sounds like you have a walking computer in your hands Prenin, mines an auto everything, but damned if I can master nighttime shots. But it does do great panoramic shots and close ups with no red eye.
Have fun mate and enjoy.
June 5, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, it is seasonal, but this year seems to be worse – an EF-5 is described as ‘The FInger of God’!!! 😦
Hope you don’t get many tornados my friend! 🙂
No tornadoes over our way Prenin, just a damn good dose of the winter flu, spending most of my time in bed this last two weeks.
Keep well my friend.
I HATE the flu – I usually end up with pneumonia!!! 😦
Hope you get well soon my friend!!!
Finally swallowed my macho pride Prenin, off to see the Doc tomorrow, nothing seems to be working.
If you are lucky maybe you’ll give the Doc what you have – I know you like to share! 😉
Get well soon my friend and God Bless!
Damn flu just wont let up and now they have found a foreign body in my rib cage, so tomorrow off to have more xrays to find out what it is and how it got in there.
Aussie Ian aka Aussie Emu
Uh oh! 😦
Hope it’s nothing serious dude – I’m saying a few prayers just in case!
Keep me updated – you’re too good a person to go just yet!!! 🙂
Had a cat scam this morning mate and back to the docs on Friday for the results, not looking forward to what I might hear, hoping it is only the bones in the rib cage.
Let’s hope it’s something benign! 🙂
As we get older we need a regular service and it keeps the doctors employed!!! 🙂
God Bless and keep well! 🙂
A bit of repetition, but it should be read! 🙂
Because she is my mother and, despite her weakness, she is still the person who gave me life… 🙂
God Bless my amazing friend!
You have a very forgiving personality Prenin, even so it must have hurt you deeply, not only with your mother, I notice it also with Doug. Just keep your guard up and dont be fooled with false love and friendship, it damn really hurts when you get to my age.
Very true my friend, but I have to admit I still have no forgiveness for my father – some things can never be forgiven… 😦
God Bless my friend and take care! 🙂
As we get older we realize that carrying grudges is only harmful to ourselves and wasted energy, I admire your integrity.
I keep trying to remember stuff as a way of reducing the threat of alzheimers! 🙂
I used to have a damned good memory which came in useful as a programmer, but the past couple of years I’ve been struggling, but I keep to it! 🙂
Whatever method you are using as a memory reminder or jogger is certainly working.
Dont think I would be worrying about Alzheimers if I was you mate.
May 29, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, Spring is finally here here, but I sleep best when cold so I use a fan to chill me down when the weather is warm!
For the past few nights I’ve been sleeping with the window open, so that kept me cool enough to sleep! 🙂
When Summer comes I’ll have the greatest trouble sleeping, so I have that to face…
God Bless my friend and love to the family!!! 🙂
June 1, 2013 at 07:00
Greetings Prenin, hope you are okay and in great health apart from the weather dictating our lifestyles.
I find I have to sleep with windows open too, old habit from my army days and camping out.
Have a great weekend.
May 28, 2013 at 07:00
HI there Ian, took me a while to get to the ‘bottom’ of your guestbook, (just kept my finger pressed on the button.. 😉 …) many thanks for dropping by, and for your comments, ..very much appreciated.. . hope you and Ana, are having a great start to the week. (’tis Bank Holiday Monday here. ) and for once, the sun is shining brightly… (Just checking my typing before I hit Post!! 😉 ) …I think it’s ok… hugs aplenty… xPenx
Hi Pen, alway a pleasure to get a visit from you, Ana is in Chile for three months at the moment on holiday and I am learning to cook again, hehehe.
Cheers and keep smiling Pen
May 27, 2013 at 07:00
I’m afraid you are right Ian.
Sooner or later there is going to be a backlash while the government bends over backwards to accommodate the Muslims and try to control their access to radical Muslim websites.
You can’t legislate the problem away, they have to man up and face it instead! 😦
Meanwhile radical Islam continues to spread and they use recent converts to do their dirty deeds against the innocent majority.
I notice none of the radical Imam’s lead by example when it comes to suicide bombings – they must be allergic to Semtex…
Yes, Doug was probably sober – he learned to regret it though!!! 🙂
They tried it on with me, using the hard sell, but I got rid of them – they lie to get in the block, lie to donors and get a commission on what money they extract! 😦
No sign of him since he tried to get me to feed him because he’d drunk all his money plus £5 he begged off me…
One thing is sure – he’s getting more and more persistent…
They come here to the UK from across the world, passing through several countries to get here, then try to change the UK into the country they were so desperate to leave in the first place!
We have had several honour killings where parents have murdered their daughters, sold them into forced marriages and more, but although much has been done to rescue them, or punish the perpetrators, it still goes on – as does female genital mutilation even though it is illegal here!
We’ve also had a string of Muslim paedophile rings prostituting white children with 57 more being investigated as I write.
Now they are murdering us in the streets in the name of Islam… 😦
May 23, 2013 at 07:00
Your visits are always welcome my friend! 🙂
God Bless and have a great weekend!!! 🙂
May 26, 2013 at 07:00
Good evening Prenin, hope alls well with you, doing the rounds on my com and trying to catch up with comments and blogs, cold Sunday night here so winter has definitely arrived.
May 13, 2013 at 07:00
Yes the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) is a Tesseract extruded into four dimensional space, so it’s like one huge pocket in space filled with a huge library, swimming pool and loads of other rooms in it, the ship able to make more as required! 🙂
You can tell I’m a fan, can’t you! 🙂
May 12, 2013 at 07:00
The nose bleed is a long-term problem from when my dad broke my nose when I was a kid.
It heals up OK, but then all it takes is too much effort moving furniture, or I have a bad sneezing fit and I get a bleed! 😦
The doctor had nothing to offer to deal with it, so I just put up with it and keep tissues handy! 🙂
You are right about the ‘flu though: RIght now I feel like crap… 😦
Flu season is definitely around the corner mate. especially here, Ana is making me drink honey and cinnamon in lemon juice, not too bad when knocked back with a beer chaser.
MMMM!!!! Honey and Cinnamon in lemon juice! 😛
I used to chew cinnamon sticks when I was a kid! 😛
I’m with you on the beer chaser, but I had to give up alcohol as the price has gone through the roof here in the UK.
Once the ESA test is passed and I get my full benefits (I can hope! 🙂 ) I’ll buy a bottle of Jack Daniels Old Number 7 bourbon and get plastered.
I haven’t had a drink in months! 🙂
Doug, however, continues to drink heavily and is now posting notes through my door asking for me to fix his apple flavoured electronic cigarette because he sat on it and broke it.
After all he’s done to me and said about me he expects me to help him… 😦
Hi Ian, I hope Ana’s drink helped you to fight the flu. Peter recently has taken to warming up some wine on the stove. If you add some spices to it you call it “Glühwein”. It beats having very cold beer on a cold night! I try to keep very warm all the time so I won’t catch the flu. The nights here in Dapto are awfully cold these days!
How is Ana doing in Chile?
Thanks for liking my recent blogs! 🙂 Cheerio, Aunty Uta.
Hi Auntyuta, I like the sound of Peters remedy for the flu, its a great idea, I think because I like beer and its cold, its not good for the winter time, especially for me as I have osteoporosis.
Alls well here in Mildura apart from the cold and Ana is doing well in Santiago.
Regards to Peter and wishing you both a great week ahead.
Lovely to hear from you, Ian. Sorry to hear about your health problems. But it’s great that Ana is doing well. Peter says thank you and greetings from both of us for a good week ahead. Try to keep warm, Ian! Cheerio, Aunty Uta.
Thanks Auntyuta, health problems are all okay now, just the bones getting a little old these days and the cold weather lets me know.
Have a great week Auntyuta and I am enjoying reading your blogs.
Yes, Facebook is the work of the Devil! 🙂
Mother’s day has been and gone here in the UK, but that’s no surprise – we march to the beat of a different drum here in the UK! LoL!!!
Agree with you on facebook Prenin.
Thanks for advising me that mothers day is over in your country
now I know that you are one day before us, lol
Mothers day is March 10 here in the UK, so we’re months earlier! 🙂

What a beautiful comment Dear friend, thank you very much.
Hoping you are well Jasmine and happy in life.
A wet miserable Sunday here for all Australian mothers.
I wish you a great happy mothers day with lots of love.
I have a facebook page too – I was pestered into it by my friends who wanted more people to help them play a couple of dumb games!
I have no liking for the way it has been rearranged to increase advertiser access to personal data so I rarely leave any comments!
I’d delete it entirely, but it’s the only way I get to know what my God daughter and her family is up to as Pat has retired on her pension and Neil has problems which can only be cured by injecting large amounts of money – and since he has run out of things to sell me to the investigative journalists for he’s not happy to see me!!! 😦
Now mum is trying facebook it looks like I have even more people to avoid… 😦
Must admit Prenin I too only really use facebook to keep up with my family, they rather use it than a telephone.
I did have facebooks twice before and deleted them after much frustration.
Good idea Prenin to be wary of facebook.
Wet and miserable Sunday here, hope you dont forget to call your mum for mothers day.
May 6, 2013 at 07:00
Gammon steaks are just big slices of bacon! 😛
They are a rare treat for when I have the money for them – like when I have no essentials to buy! 🙂
Yes, Rolf was added to the list a month or so ago.
Looks like the law is out for blood because they screwed up over Savile. 😦
So many icons have been hit by allegations it’s getting so you don’t know who’s going to be next…
May 9, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks for the explanation of gammon steaks, so to get it right they are great slabs of bacon, much about the size of a normal steak ? never heard of it mate but I like my bacon so yours sounds great,I think I would fry it and top it with fresh steamed Australia asparagus with a sprinkling of grated cheese over the top and browned under the griller.
If you ever get the chance, try it with pineapple (The tinned ring kind!) as it compliments the taste! 😛
Dont like pineapple Prenin, too sweet for me and bad for the cholesterol, might stick to my asparagus or maybe fresh mushrooms, not computer ones but field mushrooms.
April 27, 2013 at 07:00
They’d work a bag of bones if it can put one foot in front of the other! 😦
Right now the Tories are obsessed with reducing the deficit despite the world wide depression which has crippled the European Union to the point some countries are effectively bankrupt and are being financially supported in return for draconian cuts.
They are still borrowing though and their plans and efforts have had little effect so they are cutting deep and hard – I’m just one of those who are in the firing line.
They have a simple technique to make this possible: When they went after single parents they made a big thing of people having kids so as to get benefits and not need to work.
Bull, but with the party machine working their friends in the press, it went through.
Next they went after people on benefits from being out of work, calling them workshy.
With no jobs ‘out there’ those like Doug became actively persecuted and he suffered repeated cuts to his benefits to punish him for not obeying their draconian rules.
He’s now working his ticket by claiming his injured right arm makes him unable to work.
I don’t know how long it will last before somebody checks on him, but right now he can afford to feed himself and buy cheap cider as he’s a chronic alcoholic.
Now it’s my turn, the government claiming that they are ’empowering’ the disabled so they can get jobs.
This ’empowerment’ consists of testing everyone to see if they are physically capable of work under the cover of changing the benefits system and kicking off as many as possible under the fiction that one million of the people on sickness benefits were put there to massage the jobless figures.
They will then ’empower’ the disabled by cutting their benefits until they are so ’empowered’ they’ll take any job offered. 😦
It’s a dirty business… 😦
May 1, 2013 at 07:00
The same scenario is being acted out here in Australia at the moment, we have a PM who wasn,t even elected, we have an election coming up in september, from a forecast surplus we nave face a 12 billion deficit in our budget and already she is hitting the vulnerable, including the aged supperanuation. The labor party here is heading for the biggest downfall of any party in all Australian history.
There is no appeal process so far as I can see, but I’m hoping I don’t have to find out! 😦
All I can do is wait – and it could take three months before I get a result. 😦
Fingers crossed! 🙂
I hope you dont have to find out if there is an appeal process Prenin, but one would think there must be one for cases on the borderline.
Yes, things are beginning in a small way! 🙂
All I’m hoping is that they start selling more than one or two a month. 🙂
If I EVER start selling big time I will be one happy bunny! 🙂
I already have an idea for my next book, but first I have to get the third one edited and published, which won’t happen until I have enough sales to make it worthwhile.
We’ll see! 🙂
Ah the trials and tribulations of being a famous writer, never ending.
All the best mate
Yes, stress does get to you and it doesn’t take much as I’m already fighting the constant low-level fear that paranoid schizophrenia has gifted me.
I’m just glad I haven’t had a panic attack, although when my mail arrived from ATOS I had a class A1 anxiety attack, but I can handle them! 🙂
I agree about the dehydration problem with stress and I drink a lot of liquids to compensate.
It could be three months before I get a result, so I’m wondering if I’ll get to keep my benefits or not.
In theory, as a paranoid schizophrenic, I should pass.
In fact they are looking at anything to reduce the numbers on sick pay (no matter what they call it) so I won’t be safe until I get the final decision.
If I DO lose my benefits I can sign onto Jobseekers Allowance which is a third less than I’m getting now and then struggle to find a job in a depressed job market where even the healthy like Doug cannot find employment!
There is also the problem with discrimination which I’ve experienced many times in the past sixteen years.
People can be very prejudicial when it comes to mental illness… 😦
Hope you have a great weekend!!! 🙂
Prenin old mate, you are stressing out for no damn good reason, you have a psychological illness, no way can you endure a work environment without a stress attack, even flipping burgers at Macca, pity the poor customers scraping their burgers off the roof, and what the hell would you do to Colonel Sanders, inadvertently disclose his 11 different herbs and spices.
Chin up mate and keep smiling
Thanks Ian, I’ll try! 🙂
They’ve really been trying hard to remove people from sickness benefit.
My mate Neil was attacked by four lads and suffered a stroke, but they’ve signed him off the sick because he has 90% function in all his limbs and he’s supposed to go back to work when he’ll be a danger to everyone on the road as an ice cream van driver! 😦
It’s truly crazy… 😦
I now have an image of a ceiling with several burgers attached!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Interesting scenario with your friend Neill, does he not qualify for victims of crime compensation or do you not have such a thing as we do here in Australia ?
Unfortunately it was his word against theirs so the Police didn’t prosecute.
There was a street full of people and nobody saw anything – but then Langley is a sinkhole of crime and anyone who ‘grasses’ gets driven out.
No successful prosecution means no compensation… 😦
May 5, 2013 at 07:00
Bad scenario Prenin when society gets to the stage that being a witness is a danger.
Dont like the feelings of your place even through your writings, last blog I haven;t got back to yet,
where you mention a group of intimidating guys, not a nice suburb methinks.
Aussie Ian aka Emu
I have given evidence in trials and others who gave statements refused to give evidence after gangs of teenagers congregated outside their home making threats.
As a result witnesses have to give evidence in writing so they don’t have to face the criminals in court, or via video link.
It’s a bad area where the local gangsters have their friends accuse you of being a paedophile so that they can ruin your reputation and drive you out if you should become a possible threat to their fiefdom.
Doug works for the worst of our local gangster families in return for protection, hence my problems with him… 😦
Definitely a bad scenario Prenin, I might be wrong but you seem to be locked into a situation that you cant get out of, close to Doug and a dangerous neighbourhood, pity you cant move to a quieter place where you can get some peace and enjoy a better way of living.
Now you know why I want to win the lottery! LoL!!!
So far I’ve had death threats hurled at me in the street, I’ve been held at knife point (I told him to put it away or I’d make him eat it!) and held at gun point (I called him a Tosser and ignored him!), but at least the Police bothered to turn up and apparently I now have a good reputation as a stand-up guy so I’m mostly left alone! 🙂
Tony, our resident druggy, has had to move out because he was gutless and claimed the locals threatened him, but not before borrowing £17 off Doug and £16.40 off me and vanishing into the sinkhole estates around Rochdale.
After 26 years living here this is the quietest it has ever been and I know I can sleep nights without needing a fire extinguisher near my bed in case they petrol bomb my home… 🙂
I guess sometimes the best thing to do is dig in and hold on! 🙂
You scare me Prenin, sounds like you are a one man mafia mob, or a hit man on the prowl.
Time you wrote a book on lifes experiences incorporating the reality of here and now.
It’s just life here: It makes you either stand and fight, or knuckle under and get picked on by every wannabe hard man, including paedophiles who try to be foxes running with the hounds to conceal their own activities like ‘I’m a hard man please don’t hit me Howarth’ who tried to get Alison and Marie’s parents to attack me in an effort to cover up his own activities with the girls!
When the truth came out he threatened to shoot their parents if they came near him, but that just added to my reputation as a good guy!
This was added to when the local teenagers tried to drive me and my neighbours out.
Thing is these teenagers are gutless which is why they walk around in packs, trying to terrorise everyone! 😦
Usually it’s just one or two trouble causers hiding behind the others.
Once they reach 18 they find the law pays more attention and they can’t get a job because of their past criminal records, so they either start dealing drugs, or they become burglars and/or professional shoplifters, stealing to fund the drug and alcohol habits they picked up as kids.
Kyle, Jamie and Sammie Mallinson tried everything they could to drive me out of my home so they could rule our block of flats because Darrell was gutless, while Mark, Darren and I did the security detail, reported them for their petty crimes and in return they smashed my windows on a regular basis.
Once they received Anti Social Behavior Orders (ASBO’s) thanks to our landlord’s legal team (The Police were a joke) they backed off, switching to stealing GPS units from cars (They called it ‘going Tom Tomming after the Tom Tom GPS units) to swap for drugs.
Last heard they were undergoing Methadone treatment for drug addiction and were selling drugs to fund their drug addict lifestyles.
Because I stood up to be counted I had everything thrown at me, but these days I have a good reputation and everyone thinks my every orifice is solar powered… 🙂
Sadly here you are either predator or prey – and I have no intention of becoming prey. 🙂
An interesting reading Prenin, seems like you have endured and survived after many years, all credit to you for not bowing down, by the sound of it paedophile activity is not uncommon in your area.
I like to think that you now are the predator on those that preyed on you emotionally and mentally, thats why you are stronger and a survivor.
We have had a bad problem with paedophilia in the area for decades, my earliest memory is of my dad trying to sell me to local gangsters involved in child prostitution, child pornography and blackmail, so I had an early experience of just what goes on!
We’ve had several people (I use the term loosely) like Howarth who exploited local children whose parents were unable to go to the Police for fear of being attacked by these gangsters, or were blackmailed into silence.
I was unfortunate in that the girls were friends of mine who I knew well and helped out, so the predators like Howarth felt threatened and tried to shift the blame onto me to cover up their own activities.
Fortunately the truth came out, but kids like Stephanie who were abused refused to give evidence because they hated the Police more than their abusers.
I knew Stephanie from the age of seven and looked after her when she left home.
She’s now a mum and no longer involved in prostitution (a career often followed by abuse victims) which she was introduced to by a woman who worked in massage parlors who used her youth to make even more money.
Despite this she survived to become a mother and we are still great friends.
Of course the Police have proven to be a joke where this kind of stuff is concerned, more interested in preserving the status quo than in doing something about serial offenders like Howarth whose eldest daughter I looked after when she ran away from home and fell pregnant after rape aged 15.
She sold her body to drug dealers and became a drug dealer herself.
I also video taped her mother’s remarriage after her mum recovered from a knife attack paid for by her ex-husband according to her mum.
We live in a VERY sick area…
A truly sad story Prenin, seems like you were a victim at the start and its tentacles still reach out, albeit through other people, I cant imagine the world your father must have been living in when you were young.
Keep smiling old mate.

Hi Jasmine, thank you my friend and a pleasure to read your comment.
I hope you are well and happy, I enjoy your posts and pictures all the time, I think you must have a romantic heart too.
Wishing you much love Dear friend.
April 22, 2013 at 07:00
I’ve had the phone call and passed that, but now I have the form to wait for and then maybe an interview for work capability assessment.
As you said: It’s all faceless Bureaucrats more interested in keeping their jobs than in the welfare of their victims.
The stress comes with the territory I’m afraid, but there’s nothing I can do, but wait…
Greetings Prenin, hope the waiting for an answer is over soon, I know the stress that waiting brings on.
Try not to worry too much mate, what will be will be, sure that all will turn out fine for you in the end.
Keep your chin up mate.

I’d post a copy of my card on my blog, but my camera is broken and I need to buy a new one.
Money is tight at the moment because the government is changing the benefits system and I need to save as much as I can before the crap hist the fan.
The first changes will occur in four days time and I’ve no idea how I’ll come out of it… 😦
April 5, 2013 at 07:00
Hope the changes are not too drastic for you mate, the government here is changing benefits too, and its hurting a lot of people, I am fortunate though in that my twenty years army service saw me get some security in a pension.
Have a great weekend mate

We’ll arrive probably very late Thursday night and travel on to Melbourne very early Saturday morning. But any time on Friday we’d love to meet you and Ann for a drink. How about it? Do you think you could make it? Peter and I would very much love this! Cheerio, Aunty Uta.
Looking forward to meeting you both Auntyuta, which motel are you booked into ?,call us on friday and we will make a meeting place, our number is 0350233448.
Thanks for the reply, Ian. We’re looking forward too to meeting you and Ann. We’re going to stay in the Sunraysia Motel. We’ll give you a call on Friday.
Cheerio, Aunty Uta.
Your motel is just around the corner from where we live Auntyuta, make sure you call and keep the phone number okay.

Wishing you a good week Ian, sending you a few sunny thoughts from Foggy England.. Sue xox
Thursday night here now Sue and cant remember back as far as last weekend, hehe
Just shows how slow I am in answering my comments on wordpress, but I do get there eventually.
38 degrees here and damn hot, real damn hot, cant remember the last time I saw fog which must be usual for you.
Wishing you well girl.
March 2, 2013 at 07:00
Thank you so much, dear Ian, for visiting so faithfully my blogs all the time. The start of March did bring much cooler weather here. I imagine Mildura is a bit cooler too, now. Best wishes to you and your family, dear friend. Love, ‘Aunty’ Uta.
G,day Auntyuta, late as usual with my replies but do eventually get around to answering and reading posts.
Thanks for visiting, still hot up here in Mildura with 38 today, weird weather, sometimes cool and then hot.
Wishing you and your family much happiness.
Hi, Ian! It’s always good to hear from you. 38 sounds a lot for this time of the year. Here it’s a little bit warmer too right now. A very pleasant late summer! Stay cool, Ian! Cheers, Aunty Uta.
Hi Auntyuta, yes the weather here is still in the high range for summer, I think we have about another 4 weeks of the same.
The airconditioning goes night and day here, my old bones are starting to feel the changes in the weather.

You are right of course: I tried last year, but he wormed his way back into my life a bit at a time until I put my foot down and wouldn’t let him go any further which ticked him off!
Now he’s reached rock bottom and has started to dig.
He seems to think that, because I didn’t beat the shit out of him for selling me to the local gangsters and they then sold me to the investigative journalists, that he could get things back to where he was controlling me again.
Uh NO!!! DON’T THINK SO!!! LoL!!!
Wednesday the Social Services intervention team will be visiting with the housing manager and as he’s not cleaned up his act I suspect he is going to be for the high jump!
Some people can’t be helped… 😦
February 28, 2013 at 07:00
Such is life Prenin, the wheel will keep turning and squeeking until one day it no longer gets the oil.
I will stop.
February 23, 2013 at 07:00
Wishing you a wonderful weekend… Sending you and Ana a few hugs 🙂
February 24, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks Sue, always a pleasure to hear from you.
Sunday afternoon here and a very hot day, hope your having a great weekend, never know if you are a day ahead of us here or a day behind.
February 14, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks for the visit and comment! LoL!!!
Yes, I get dyslexia messing with my keyboard work, especially as I post on getting up and my eyes are still a bit blurry!!! LoL!!!
Hope things are OK on your side of the planet – we have heavy snowfall here and it’s been snowing since about 8am, but fine stuff, nothing heavy! 🙂
According to the weather lady (VERY pretty!) the snow will soon become rain and we’ll be back to normal by Thursday which will be wet again! 🙂
Thank God I only have my medication to collect tomorrow! 🙂
February 16, 2013 at 07:00
Take it easy old mate , one day at a time as the years move on, look after your health always, as we get older we tend to accept certain disabilities and just soldier on, your a survivor and just starting your journey into the second half of your book of life.
I agree my friend! 🙂
Part one was a case of surviving the unliveable and since part two has begun I am happier and healthier than ever! 🙂
The only downer today is that the pharmacy lost my meds (again) and I have to phone on Monday to see if they’ve sorted out their mess!
I have over a month’s supply squirreled away, but they only think I have two weeks supply, so I should get them on Monday.
If not I’m going to make an official complaint!!! 🙂
February 20, 2013 at 07:00
You will sort it out with your meds Prenin, making an official complaint may be a way to go
but remember, no matter what the outcome, human error always intervenes, even with all our technology.
I agree! 🙂
I got my pills OK on Monday so I’m ready for the next month and I have a dental appointment for Friday at 11.30am so I’m good! 🙂
Just had to save Doug’s sorry ass.
He had a garbage fire in his living room which is wall to wall garbage.
He was so drunk he slept through a 90 decibel smoke alarm that got me up from across the hall!!!
Thank God he gave me a spare key!!!
The fire is out, but his response?
Blaming everything on ‘breaking his arm’ when all he did was bruise it two months ago and sitting there like a self-pitying pig in shit.
Needless to say he dropped hints about me lending him some money, but I just ignored him…
Now I stink of smoke and so does my flat…
The saga of Doug would be funny if it wasn’t so sad, seems like he is on a treadmill downfast now, he may find himself locked away in an asylum if the authorities deem him psychologically unfit to be part of society.
Well we all walk different paths in life I suppose.
Unfortunately I can’t get him sectioned, but Housing and Social Services have been alerted!
He has to clean his flat – he insists on doing it Monday Morning – but the people will also be showing up on Monday so I have taken the hard choice to walk away and leave him to his own devices as he WILL NOT LISTEN and do what he needs to do!!! 😦
On a different tack: I had a tooth filled Friday morning and the filling fell out while I was cleaning my teeth Saturday night, so Monday I have to arrange for my dentist to drill out an old amalgam filling and refill the whole tooth.
I hate it, but what choice do I have? 😦
He will end up sectioning himself and wont even understand why.
January 27, 2013 at 07:00
Red liked the ATA but it needed a bit of rewriting which she did for me! 🙂
I’m barely getting by on my income as it is so everything has to be as cheap as possible! 😦
Thankfully there are some clever folks of the forum and Gail has made a video trailer for You Tube and Laurie helped with the wording! 🙂
Red emailed me the pdf files of the finished manuscripts and told me I had been accepted for an LCCN, but I have no idea what that is!!! 🙂
Whatever it is, it is a good thing apparently! 🙂
God Bless my friend and Happy Australia Day!!!
January 28, 2013 at 07:00
Red has certainly stuck by you mate and is indeed a great friend, you are very fortunate to have found her
The LCCN sounds impressive and maybe an award is in the offing.
You always have my support Prenin, in your endeavours.
You are right of course: I just wrote about my first attempt at writing and how my mum’s friend wanted to publish it for me, but dad made me burn it a page at a time to impress on me how crap it was before destroying my typewriter.
Needless to say he didn’t bother to read it first…
The second attempt I wrote about my paranoid schizophrenia and how it didn’t hold me back from being chair of the T&RA and a Director of RoFTRA before I took eleven months out to care for Darrell after his stroke until he moved to the bungalow near his family.
It is hard not to define your life by your health, especially when there is so much prejudice about mental illness…
God Bless from a VERY cold England! 🙂
Agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly my friend, in the face of adversity you have overcome and risen above those that denigrate you, you must be proud of your achievements , people without any mental illness cannot achieve what you have done, stand tall my friend, you are a survivor of the highest order.
January 19, 2013 at 07:00
So far we’ve only had a light dusting of snow where I am, but the days are dark and grey thanks to the heavy cloud! 😦
I feel a bit rough so I’ve decided not to go out today – I can always go tomorrow…
Hope things cool down for you soon my friend! 🙂
January 22, 2013 at 07:00
Dont think I would be going far either in your weather
A nice cosy flat and heater turned up high.
January 23, 2013 at 07:00
We weren’t even on the snowfall radar according to the weather people, but we got a few good inches of the white stuff with more threatening to be on its way!
It’s going to be a cold week because we’re getting a wind from the Baltic and it’s hitting the South and East coasts.
Manchester is on the other side of the Pennines so we’re not getting it as bad and we had bright sunshine today, so it was a day for sun glasses – or a bad case of snow blindness…
Well your weather is not weather that I am likely to see much of in the foreseable future unless I travel again.
Wednesday evening here and the temp is still stuck on 34 degrees, tomorrow forecast 43, so must get my fortnightly stock of hydraade in.
January 8, 2013 at 07:00
Yes, it’s a small beginning and I’m looking forward to the views of the people reading them.
So far I’ve had two reviews and they were both good ones! 🙂
I’m kind of scared, but excited too!!! 🙂
Will this be a sea change in my life?
I’d like to think so!!!
January 9, 2013 at 07:00
Hi Prenin, great you had two reviews, were they professional reviewers or literary critics ?
Was there much cost in getting your work published ? Red must get some sort of payment for time and effort ?
Sorry about the questions mate but just checking out the overall scenario so as to get an idea for my books to be published.
I think they were readers!!! 🙂
It hasn’t cost me a bean so far Ian! 🙂
Talk to Red Ian – she’s a good sort and honest – she’ll tell you how it works.
January 12, 2013 at 07:00
Thanks Prenin for the feedback.
Not sure if I am game enough to have another go at getting my stuff put into bookform.
Will have to ponder on this matter for a while I think.
Have a great weekend.
HALLO IAN ALLES LIEBE UND EIN GUTES JAHR 2013 JASMIN BIG HUG
Thank you Dear Jasmine for being a good freund on the wordpress.
I wish you much happiness for 2013
December 17, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, dream analysers would have a field day with me! 🙂
I always sleep on my side, so I guess that doesn’t apply, but it’s an interesting thought! 🙂
Sounds like you are carrying a lot of subconscious baggage from the war years my friend. I can only pray you find peace.
God Bless my friend and be well! 🙂
December 18, 2012 at 07:00
Yes you are right Prenin, I do carry a lot of war baggage.
At my age and after a lot of councelling all I can do now is to live with it
and come to terms with it, accept it as a fact of life.
Believe me I know what you mean!!! 😦
I’m coming to terms with a whole cartload of shit and thanks to the wibbly wobbly web and places like WLS and WordPress I finally found a place to come to terms with the past.
It has even improved my nightmares as they don’t happen as often! 🙂
Maybe you should write a book – not to get it published, just as a way to vent your feelings.
If it works out, maybe THEN you should consider publishing!!! 🙂
God Bless my friend and Merry Christmas!!! 🙂
Hi Prenin, thanks for replying, I have thought about what you said and discussed it with professionals, they state the same as you, let it all out on paper, only problem mate is that somethings in war cannot be printed, not because they, in reality can;t, but in reality cannot, as it can be too much for some people to understand. At the end of the day, its my lot in life and I carry that burden in my mind.
What I have seen and done I wish on no one.If only all people could understand the meaning of war and all it entails.
December 14, 2012 at 07:00
Thank you for the visit and likes recently…
I was just reading many of the posts that I had missed…there all so beautiful!
Have a joyous Christmas season!
December 15, 2012 at 07:00
Thank you Deb for visiting and taking the time to catch up on my writings.
Somewhere in the world of the wordpress I missed receiving your posts but hopefully will catch up, those that I have seen have been a delight to read and view. I wish you a beautiful Christmas full of love and happiness with those you cherish.

Yeah my weight was 106Kg when I was at the surgery for the blood tests.
I can’t check my weight because my scale’s battery is finished and I can’t obtain a replacement.
The only thing I can do is buy a set of spring scales which I’ll do next month as it’s not exactly urgent.
Yeah they also like to play games with the prices – charging more in winter and doing deals with customers in the Summer to keep their business.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they charge more for smaller towns – they have a captive market! 😦
Yeah it was a busy day! 🙂
Doug is trying to get the sympathy vote at the moment, because he has no heating, but he did it to himself…
I have images of him messing around with his heater with it plugged in – not pretty! 😦
Hope you have plenty of beer my friend – I have a dozen cold ones chilling in the fridge as I write! 🙂
November 11, 2012 at 07:00
Good morning Prenin, keep an eye on your weight as it has an overall bearing on your health as you no doubt know.
Good to hear Doug is doing well, lol and keeping himself amused, am sure he must realize one day that your sympathy vote is not forthcoming.
Damned if I could live like him or even live around him, Give you a tip mate, if one day there is a bad smell coming from his place and maggotts crawling under his door, dont go in, hehehe
Since he does not wash, vomited on the carpet and didn’t clean it up, uses his floor as a garbage bin and wears the same clothes all the time, even the flies stay away!!! 🙂
November 14, 2012 at 07:00
Sounds like a homeless guy that found somewhere to live
then again a lot of homeless people still maintain their dignity.
Hi Ian, just doing my rounds as I do when I have time and thought I’d come a knocking upon your door!.. Just sending you all a thought or Three and hoping Summer is breathing some of her energy into you all…I think you could all do with some Sunshine what with all your upsets recently. So sending a Big Hug to you and Ana… and All the family… Healing thoughts still being sent… Love and Best wishes..
Thank you my dear friend for your caring and very thoughtful comments, your visit never fails to brighten my world.
A beautiful hot sunny Sunday here and am enjoying a relaxing weekend, next weekend we are heading off into mountainous bush country so that Ana can see the country I walked through back in my army days. That was a lovely piece you submitted on Rememberance.
I wish you much love and happiness my dear friend.
October 25, 2012 at 07:00
Yeah I had a small win last month, £11.80, which paid for my shopping and new tickets! 🙂
I only expected £3.10 so it was a nice surprise! 🙂
October 31, 2012 at 07:00
Stay positive mate, one day the golden eagle will shit on you if you persevere, this time next week I will be 100million dollars richer if it decides to hover over my house, good luck Prenin
Lots of luck my friend! 🙂
The thought of what I could do with this town if I only had the money keeps me going! 🙂
We’ve been the money pit for Rochdale for decades, our taxes and services asset stripped to keep the marginal seats happy and voting for the council! 😦
When Middleton lost its council our services had all new gear supplied from vehicles to lawn mowers, then Rochdale took over and all the new gear was stripped out and the old gear moved in to replace it.
Now they are talking about giving us back our council, but not our gear!!! 😦
November 3, 2012 at 07:00
I understand what you are saying Prenin, the same thing has occurred here , they call it decentralizing where your council comes under the jurisdiction of a nearer larger council, we are assured that we will still get the same services but in reality that only lasts about a year and then it slowly dwindles, its all a government cost saving exercise.
Yes they FINALLY sorted it out after three days – what a bunch of Twonks!!! 🙂
I now have my line and broadband back, but I have to keep resetting my modem every day because they keep choking my bandwidth… 😦
Hope you’re having a great week my friend! 🙂
Good morning Prenin, its Wednesday here and great Summers day forecast, glad you got your shamozzle sorted out, must be a pain in the arse resetting your modem each day, a genius like you will find a solution, hope the weather is not hurting you too much, our lotto draw last night was 70 million with no winners so next week its 100 million, definitely going to have a ticket in that one too.
The only option I found that works is to reboot my modem.
Apparently they are happy for us to pay for the service, but object to people using it!!! 😦
I need it for streaming TV and radio, so I have to put up with it… 😦
Hope you win the Big One my friend – luck like that is to be dreamed of!!! 🙂
Bugger! Forgot the Notify flag!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Warned you about this oversight before Prenin
Now dont make a habit of it, lol
Well didnt win the big one mate, there was no first division winner so Tuesday it jackpots to 100 million
so definitely have a ticket in that one,did get 4 numbers though , was paid20 dollars.
Enjoy your weekend mate
October 24, 2012 at 07:00
Dropping by as I pass by Ian, Hope all are well down under and your getting into Summer!… Thinking of you both.. Much love from the UK to you and Ana… Enjoy your week…. Sue x
Thanks for the visit Sue, Ana and I are both doing fine and enjoying the first days of Summer, the temperatures are starting to climb into the 30s now,a sunny Thursday morning here so we are going to enjoy it in the vegetable garden.
Wishing you well dear friend.
October 17, 2012 at 07:00
The phone problem just gets worse! 🙂
They’ve ‘borrowed’ a phone line from somebody in Moston and put me on it, but left them without a line so we’ve become bosom buddies in our moaning about ‘Talk Talk’ who seem incapable of getting a job done right and blame everyone but themselves…
On the plus side my calls are no longer redirected, but I won’t be able to relax until I know this mess is sorted out! 🙂
Good morning Prenin , I am late as usual in responding to my blog comments, a beautiful sunny Thursday morning here and looking forward to a morning in the garden. By now I presume your phone debacle has been sorted out, an interesting situation you were in with your shared lines, lol
Have a great day mate
October 16, 2012 at 07:00
Yes I live in a rough area and going out to the shop can be a tad risky, in fact the teenagers tried to break into the block last week – they used heavy tools to shear off the hinge bolt on the entrance gate which is as thick as my finger!
Fortunately my neighbour Tony caught them and read then the riot act, so they left and I arranged for the repair of the gate,
Thank God we’ve got decent neighbours! 🙂
Bloody hell mate I dont know how you can tolerate that environment.
My next door neighbours here where I live happen to be two policeman
No probs with them except they work early morning shift and their lights wake me during the early mornings
But great security. plus we have security gates for our estate which has only five houses
Think I would need a 45 living in your area mate
I’ve started taking my meds in the morning which means I don’t oversleep, but I feel knackered for most of the day.
It’s Autumn here. Cold, wet and windy! 😦
Hope you have a great summer my friend! 🙂
Great idea mate to coordinate your meds ASP with your lifestyle
Being knackered will wear off after you get into a routine and your body adapts
September 25, 2012 at 07:00
Yeah Red is a wonder, but she did herself a mischief and no mistake! 😦
As for the cold?
It seems to have gotten no better today. 😦
I woke at about 6pm and threw up, but my stomach has settled again, I just feel seriously un-motivated at the moment.
I wrote the preface for book 3, but the whole story needs work really if it is to come up to scratch.
That’s what happens when you are struggling for ideas!!! 😦
The weather here is crap – flooding, fallen trees, one person dead from a falling branch and COLD! 😦
Apparently all the wet weather is coming from an old hurricane out in the Atlantic which is feeding moist air into a huge low pressure area driven by the jet stream.
Looks like we’re in for one cold winter… 😦
Cant fight the weather mate , just go where the winds blow but make sure you are warm
September 20, 2012 at 07:00
Hi Ian, wishing you well.. Many thanks for dropping in to wish me a welcome back.. Hope you have all been Ok… Take care Blessings Sue xox
September 22, 2012 at 07:00
Great to have you back Sue and seeing a few of your words of wisdom being posted, that was a great one on Good, Bad and Ugly.
Hope all is going well with you and wish you much happiness
September 27, 2012 at 07:00
Hi Ian, glad you enjoyed,, sorry not been around much or on my site until today as I came down with a virus which knocked me sideways.. feeling better today and recovering slowly.. Just catching up with comments via WP..
I figured I caught the virus on the homeward plane journey from holiday as people were sneezing and coughing around me.. Plus the temp drop on returning home..
Now we here in UK have had a months rain in one day, lucky we are not affected as some places which are flooded out again.. If people cannot see the changes in climate.. and see the ‘Signs’ for themselves, they are blind Ian..
I hope at least things are more brighter where you are… and hope all is well with family.. Still sending in that direction..
Love and light to you and Ana..
October 3, 2012 at 07:00
Greetings Sue , sorry to hear you have been crook girl, hope by the time you read this that you are well over it, drastic changes in the weather do certainly affect ones health , Ana and I notice it with the fluctuations as it changes from Winter to Summer here, today is a bright sunny Wednesday and Summer is just around the corner. I wondered why you have not been active lately.
Wishing you well girl and a speedy recovery to great health

Hi Jen , thanks for the great comment/reply, sorry I am lagging behind again in keeping up with my correspondence.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your life as you see it, I did worry a tad as you sounded down a bit.
You have a positive attitude Jen and all will work out in the end, just Persevere.
Hope your Goth week went well and you got some great pics, haven’t got around to reading all my friends blogs
but will very soon and look forward to seeing some of your great Goth pics.
Yes I dream up each chapter and flesh it out, then enter it onto the manuscript.
It’s a slow process though: On a bad day I write one chapter, on a good day three!!! 🙂
I use the lucky dip – it’s just as possible to win either way – as in absurdly remote… 🙂
Thanks Ian I think you are right! 🙂
My subconscious is a great tool if I can harness it!!! 🙂
Good morning Prenin, thanks for responding and sharing your thoughts
Lagging behind again in catching up on my correspondents.
Bright sunny Tuesday morning here in my hometown
Summers just around the corner as you can feel it in the air.
Wishing you a gtreat week ahead mate
Hope you have a peaceful summer!!! 🙂

Hi my dear friend Sue , sorry for the delay in answering , world has been a bit of a mess for me at the moment, Ben recovered from his op, it was a vicious Cancer but seems to be under control, he has to have 3 monthly checks though, the week after his discharge from hospital his mother died, my first wife of 24 years, so I travelled to Adelaide to give support to him and his brother and sister with the funeral arrangements, also to give support to her husband who happens to be a Vietnam veteran like me, weird but a fact of life, I didn’t attend the funeral but returned home to find another death of a family member, so travelled down south and have just returned from that event, overall its been a bit hectic, I took a day off and done some archaelogy work with my brother which was great, cant disclose it on facebook as it is stuff that is never been seen, surfice to say its ancient Aboriganal sites and artifacts and Cairns never seen before, must admit Sue it was breathtaking goosebumps seeing and touching things no white man has seen for over 25 thousand years, will leak bits on my facebook as its cleared by the Govt, So Sue the whole scenario of my life at the moment has been all over the places emotionally, hope to settle down soon and get back to my old routine of blogging, best wishes Princess and keep smiling
Emu aka Ian
Aww Ian, I am so sorry, sounds like you have been bombarded from all quarters emotionally .. I am sending well wishes and more for your Son’s Healing, But I am sure his strong willed Spirit will see him self heal and be fine.
As to your ‘Dig’ with your Brother it sounds fascinating, And maybe the time is NOW when those artefacts surface again.. You know our Aboriginal brothers knew and know such a lot more than we.. And our ancient wisdoms are once again resurfacing to teach us all again about our ancestors..
Glad you were able to go and help take your mind to another place Ian..
Many thoughts of Love and Light sent to both you and Ana and your family.. ~Sue xox
August 20, 2012 at 07:00
Thanks Sue for all your kind thoughts and comments, yes it has been an emotional bombardment of time for me and my children over the last few weeks, all is calming down now and I think the true grieving will begin with my kids, time heals all wounds but leaves the scars.
I have taken a few days off and headed up into the mountains in search of my favourite hobby, Indiginous archaelogy which I will post later.
Some of our findings we dont report to the Govt authorities as it tends to become a tourist attraction and our recent finds such as burial mounds we record and keep in our closed diary , if they have survived 25,000 years they deserve to be left to the spirits of the lands of their birth.
Cheers Sue , your a beautiful Princess friend
Emu aka Ian
Totally Agree with you, Long may they rest in peace after 25,000 years, and will look forward to what you reveal in your future posts about your digs . Be well .. Sue
Wishing you well my dear friend

For tomorrow, Father’s Day, I wish you all the best, dear Ian, especially after you’ve been through such an emotional time. Best wishes for Ben too that his health may keep improving. May he get a great deal of enjoymet on Father’s Day!
Condolences to you and all your family. In times like this ithe support of family is very important,
Ir’s the 21st birthday of one of our granddaughters. So there’ll be a party on tonight. We’ll go there for a bit. It’s going to be disco music for young people!
For next weekend we’re booked to go off on our big trip. It’s going to be a long time away from Australia. But of course we’re looking forward to seeing family and friends over there.
Have to get ready for the party now
For tomorrow, Father’s Day, I wish you all the best, dear Ian, especially after you’ve been through such an emotional time. Best wishes for Ben too that his health may keep improving. May he get a great deal of enjoyment on Father’s Day!
Hi Auntyuta, hope you all had a great and enjoyable 21st birthday with your grandaughter and family.
Suppose you are well and truly packed in readiness for your next adventure, as I sad before , I look forward to seeing some great pics of your journey, see if you can get a great close up of the Brandenberg arch for me Auntyuta.
Fathers day for me was spent with my youngest son but got nice wishes off my other two children.
Ben’s health is improving but he will be out of action for quite some time yet.
I wish you much love and happiness.
the birthday party was indeed very enjoyable. Natasha, the sweet birthday girl, was very happy and smiling all the time. Everyone had a great time. Later on I might still post a few pics about the party.
The Brandenburg Gate for sure is going to feature again in one of our pics.
Good to hear you had your youngest son with you on Father’s Day.
Our youngest daughter and her partner had come to Natasha’s party on Saturday. Then they stayed overnight at our place. Matthew had to go back to Sydney for work on Sunday, whereas Caroline could spend the rest of the day with us, which was great.
Our daughter Monika comes to see us off on Thursday night, also some of her family. On Friday we are on our way to Sydney to stay overnight with daughter Caroline who’s going to drive us to the airport on Saturday.
Thanks for your good wishes, Ian. All the best to you and your wife and the rest of the family and especially Ben!
Greetings dear Auntyuta, I see by now you are well on your way to Berlin and a great experience
Thanks for your caring and thoughtful wishes for my family, I wish you a great time away
and look forward to hearing and seeing some pics of your time in Germany.

Yes, I get some ideas from my dreams, but mostly from lucid daydreams.
I’m a bit stuck on book 3 ‘Far Traveller’ because I have no idea where to take the story next! 🙂
Hope you have a great Sunday my friend!
Today Doug gets my old furniture and Monday I pay for the new stuff!!! 🙂
God I’m like a kid at Christmas!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Like a bloody kid with a new toy , aren’t you mate, last years pressies get the arse
and new pressies start a new beginning, your emotions will get a great boost and enthusiasm will soar
Cheers mate and enjoy
Ooh I will! LoL!!! 🙂
Tomorrow I pay, Tuesday (hopefully) I will get it! 🙂
I must admit a certain satisfaction with the way I impressed Doug by tearing the broken chair apart with my bare hands! LoL!!!
Have a great week my friend and God bless you and Ana! 🙂
Way to go Superman, maybe Doug will think twice before taking the Super hero on and using him without thinking, lol

It is nice to see you back, rid of the dreaded flu
and back commenting around wordPress Ian 🙂 🙂
I will be calling in again soon on both of your blogs
and catching up a little 🙂 In the meantime pour a
nice cool one and relax a while my great friend 🙂
Thanks for the uplifting words mate, starting to come good and visit friends
Have a beaut weekend my friend and regards to Jen
Aussie Ian aka Aussie Emu
You are very welcome Ian

you are getting better 🙂
Have a brilliant Friday and weekend 🙂
July 14, 2012 at 07:00
Greetings Androgoth on this bloody freezing Saturday afternoon, no wonder we have had the Flu.
Getting back into the swing of things again and catching up on emails and blogs.
July 11, 2012 at 07:00
No idea on a publishing day – it could take a year or more – but I also have to leave it for Red to play with once she’s cleared her desk! 🙂
I need to write a third story, but I have no idea what it will be…
Yes, there’s always something to tweak isn’t there?!! 🙂
Hope you have a great week my friend and get well soon!!! 🙂
Take your time on your next adventure into the literary world mate
Let some ideas float around your head for a while, maybe a story along the early English Victorian days
Something along the lines of Dickens, just an idea, no matter something will spring to mind when you least expect it
Have a beaut weekend mate
Aussie Ian aka Aussie Emu

I’m with you on the flu! 😦
I keep warm and comfortable, drink plenty of fluids and plenty of palliative medication to hand! 🙂
Cheers mate and all the best
Wishing you well
Yes, Black Judge has a weirdly woven story line which may yet need improving, but I want Red to check it out first! 🙂
It’s hard to do any story justice on the first attempt, but we’ll see… 🙂
Well done mate , is it too soon to be looking at a publishing date ?
Maybe a few more rereads and edits still have to go yet, but one thing I know mate with my own writing , is that on every reread I still find something to change
July 8, 2012 at 07:00
Thanks for the birthday wishes! 🙂
Pat and I had our birthday bash and I even ended up looking after baby William for five minutes while Emily sorted Isabella out and dressed her for gymnastics! 🙂
I even made £60 on the deal and got four cards, so money is not a worry this week!!! 🙂
Great that your birthday bash was a success
Sounds like the money is starting to roll in for you now mate

July 3, 2012 at 07:00
Yes the church is fantastic and I’ve made a lot of friends! 🙂
The book stops and starts as I try to figure out the next steps.
Right now I need an officious asshole in charge of a second team of xenoarchaeologists to become a total prick and get half his team killed so the bad guys can use the bodies as hosts in order to get out of their supermax prison/tomb.
I know what I want to happen, but making it happen is really quite hard! 🙂
It’s supposed to be the height of summer here in the UK, but it’s 14’C, 50% humidity and we’ve had the wettest June on record, so we are pale and interesting… 🙂
Sounds like its a stop and go type of writing now mate , but coming together as it unfolds in the mind.
Maybe there is time to bring in Lavinia , the queen of the girls from the isle of Lesbos , she is very dominating and overpowering in her special ways , maybe because she is a Hermaphrodite and has a penchant for dominating the Souls of the dead , particularly females , her supernatural powers outweigh the powers of the men who inhabit the planet Zeus, a planet of half man and animal.
Well mate thats just a bit of bullshit from my wandering mind this morning.
Have a great day.

June 12, 2012 at 07:00
Every year for the past few years they have been talking about events being worse since records began.
Thing is the records only go back a few hundred years, so we have no real way of establishing what is normal and what is down to mankind’s interference… 😦
God bless my friend and be well! 🙂
The changing weather patterns, the Malayan calendar, doomsday and the second coming of Christ have been foretold for eons mate
The weather will change and it wont matter if we are here or not, might pay just to get a good umberella
Have a great day mate
Have a great day today Ian 🙂
Thanks mate , Tuesday night here and bloody freezing
Roll on Summer, hope your weather is to your liking Andro
Yes the weather here in the UK has been a tad wet with caravan parks in Wales disappearing under five and a half feet of water!
We almost had a dam breach with a village of 600 people downstream, but the evacuation was a success and the reservoir was safely drained! 🙂
Oooh the lottery! LoL!!! 🙂
I have two new tickets next to me and a prayer on my lips! 🙂
I know what you mean about ideas.
Right now I have to get John, my main character, trained to use ESP and while I made a good start in the previous chapters I need to find a plausible way to get his teacher, a member of the holy order of the Inquisition, into his home to train him up! 🙂
Needless to say, the church have a use for him… 🙂
Oh well: I’ll get there… 🙂
Your weather sounds a bit like ours at the moment with floods causing evacuations and storms hitting the coasts
The whole world weather patterns are changing all the time, but to be honest I think they have been changing for many centuries its just that now technology has given us the means to monitor and map them, this in turn gives more exposure of the weather to us all , whereas in olden days we accepted it day by day and year by year
June 11, 2012 at 07:00

Yes it DOES sound like one of Andro’s offerings! LoL!
Actually a black judge is a kind of Texas Ranger in space who hunts down the untouchable bad guys and gals, then delivers instant justice! 🙂
The story has hit a snag though – I have a good idea, but how to present it???
No worries though: I’ll figure it out… 🙂
I see you have passed the snag bit mate, but with any writings there will always be a snag
Hope you got a bit of room in your words for a bit of the mushy Ian Love and Romance scenario
Girls love the Romantic bit mate
May 30, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, it is true: Sweden has no army as such, just a militia, and her only battleship is over 300 years old! 🙂
Next years Eurovision contest is going to be a good one – just think of all those luscious blondes!!! 😛
May 31, 2012 at 07:00
Now you have me intrigued in her battleship
Surely must be a museum piece.
When I was young I wanted to live in Sweden for all the threesomes and sex orgys and all those luscious blondes too
Why are the Swedish females all blondes and have those legs that reach right up to their armpits
and those piercing blue eyes of innocence and demand ? damned if I know
Yes, if I remember correctly she’s a three deck sailing ship in a museum – and you can visit her! 🙂
I’m a bit hazy where the details are concerned, but the Vasa sank on her maiden voyage – apparently she was so top heavy she turned turtle in just a mild breeze rather like Henry VIII’s Mary Rose.
The Swedes built a few ships for WWI coastal defence, but I have no idea if they too are museum pieces or not…
Have a look on the web – there’s bound to be something on the subject… 🙂
June 1, 2012 at 07:00
Haven’t checked it out yet mate but intend too as it sounds a great historical story
May 29, 2012 at 07:00
Just took a peek at the natural news and it is really scary! 😦
Fukushima Diiachi was a major disaster, yet the Japanese government tried to sit on the information.
Now we have Independent proof that the fallout is dangerously high in Tokyo even after the event!
I now have no doubt that we cannot trust the authorities to tell the truth even when millions are going to live shortened lives thanks to the radiation contamination and the reactor 4 fuel cooling pond needs to be empties as soon as possible in case of another earthquake.
Glad you had a look at that site mate , its well worth keeping up with as it touches on a lot of subjects
The reason I forwarded it to you is because it touched on that Aspar , cant spell it ,that ingredient you mention in soda
It seems to have very bad consequences, anyway mate Tuesday night here and wishing you a great next day
Aussie Ian aka Aussie Emu
Yes, it is seriously bad news.
Since I stopped consuming anything with Aspartame in it my heart condition has vanished after a few months.
Trouble is that big business rules and the guy who allowed Aspartame to be marketed now works for the manufacturer…
Hi mate , only learnt about this Aspartame through your blogs so decided to check it out and was surprised as to its ingredients and effects , then saw it in Natural news and its appearing in many other articles now, thanks for putting me onto it and like you will be treading wary with certain drinks and products
May 27, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, you get winter and we get summer! 🙂
It’s not all that hot here (26’C expected today), but we’re not used to it so when it hits 32’C people start dying.
A few years back we had 35’C days and high humidity, so 5,000 or so people (mostly elderly) died and they were using freezer trucks as over-spill mortuaries.
Ever since then I’ve had a healthy respect for summer weather…
Thats quite a scenario with the freezer trucks
Good idea mate to monitor the weather frequently for big fluctuations I think
May 26, 2012 at 07:00
It’s warm, so I have lager (I prefer REAL ale!) which is nicely chilled and plenty of fruit cordial and ice.
Nice to finally see some summer weather, but word has it that the crops are going to be a disaster because of the heavy rain and cold weather we had…
Give Ana a big hug from me! 🙂
Bloody cold here mate, getting too cold for a bloody beer
which bloody pisses me bloody off
HALLO LIEBSTER LIEBSTER FREUND DU DARFST ALLE BILDER VON MIER GEBRAUCHEN FREUE MICH DAS DU SIE SCHOEN FINDEST ES STECKT DA VIEL ZEIT DRINN UM SIE ZU GESALTEN ABER ES IST EIN HOBBY VON JASMIN BIG HUG VON JASMIN UND EIN TOLLES SONNIEGES WOCHEN ENDE

May 15, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, the abuse reports are the tip of the iceberg.
Already another nine men have been arrested in Rochdale on a new set of abuse charges and again it seems the CPS were unwilling to take the initial complaints of the children concerned to the courts.
NOW they are shifting off their complacent asses and getting the job done!
Needless to say there is a lot of concern among our local taxi drivers that they’ll pay for other people’s crimes…
Sad sad world we live in mate
May 14, 2012 at 07:00
IF I ever win you’ll know when I email you for your address!!! 🙂
By the time I win I reckon it will be too late to enjoy it
and I will be the richest bastard in the cemetery
Have a great Tuesday mate
May 13, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, I now know it’s a DOING word, but finding one to fit in is a nightmare! LoL!
Intellectually I have the answer, but mentally I’m having real problems as I usually can’t think of one…
Drinking, like in drinking a beer is my best Verb , lol
Have a beaut week ahead mate
Red has given me some rules to follow so I’ve found myself chopping the poor thing to bits to keep within the 36 word per paragraph limit.
I’ve done two chapters, so now I’m waiting for Red to have some free time so she can look at it as she’s snowed under at the moment.
I’ve insisted she keep me as a low priority because she has mouths to feed and I’m not likely to die of starvation any time soon!!! 🙂
I never thought I’d feel so uncomfortable editing my great work, but I do…
Red is certainly a very proffessional blogger and a considerate friend to those who need support
Thanks for letting me find her through your space
Have a brilliant weekend Ian 🙂
hey the sun is actually shining
today so how about that for a
different kind of weekend? 🙂 lol
Better than freezing
one’s nuts off, anytime 🙂 lol
Hi Androgoth, Sunday morning here and the weather is cold yet its a lovely sunny day
Sounds like we might be having the same weather, personally I prefer the summer heat
Wishing you and Jen much happiness
Aussie Ian aka Emu
May 11, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, oddly enough they ARE getting bigger, but slooooowly!!! LoL!!!
Good morning this fine cold sunny Sunday mate
Looks like you are on a roll, just make sure the winnings get higher each time
I will give you a call when you hit the million mark
Ian aka Emu
May 8, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, you are right of course – I need to take long breaks away from the computer and rest.
The weather here is lovely – lots of bright sunshine! 🙂
Time to chill out mate , have a sip of water and take big breasts and relax
First I have to slim down, get off these bloody pills – they are addictive – and then find a willing woman!!! LoL!!!
May 9, 2012 at 07:00
All pills can become addictive mate but if they are working keep on them till you get the desired results
then you can afford to wean yourself of them, slimming down is half the battle, you will achieve your goal
May 7, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, I see your Site has really changed and your presentations are more powreful do we owe that to your wife?
Hi Michelle , lovely to hear from you and sincerely hope you are in good health and life is being kind to you.
When spaces closed I nearly closed down too but decided to reopen in WordPress, it took me a while to sort it all out but Ana gave me some help , dont know about it being more powerful as it is running along the same lines as it was in spaces, personally it is getting a bit tiresome in writing but that maybe old age catching up.
Wishing you much love and happiness Michelle

The only one I can think of is David Renfrew who I only heard from recently when his hotmail was hacked and he had to contact everyone and warn them that the hacker had sent more emails to all his friends!
Naturally I didn’t fall for it, but I’ve been getting the occasional weird email ever since…
Sorry mate, got the name wrong , meant your best druggie mate that forever swearing suicide, damned if I can remember his name
Oh Doug the alky!!! LoL!!!
He’s leaving me alone at present, but I hear him pottering around so I know he’s still breathing.
He boasted that he tried to kill himself with half a bottle of whisky and 14 amytryptaline tablets.
Since the most he has are 10mg pills the worst it would have done was give him a good night’s sleep! LoL!!!
May 5, 2012 at 07:00
Good to hear you are getting some peace and quiet from Doug
Sad world he lives in but such is life when we head down the road of self destruction
Saturday afternoon here and hope you have a great weekend
April 30, 2012 at 07:00
Thanks for the kind words Ian.
Even if I don’t get published it has been fun! 🙂
Way I think too mate , all my poetry here and dont know if it will be ever published
At least mate when we die we left a treasure trove of words for some bastard to make money out of us , lol
April 18, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, life is looking good and I’m rationing the good stuff so I’ve just had a glass full and I’m feeling rather content with the world! 🙂
Yeah the weight is still coming off and I’m now down to 105.9Kg so I’m doing well! 🙂
Hope the move goes well my friend! 🙂
I hope that you are enjoying
a fine week my great friend 🙂
Greetings Androgoth, bit of a few busy days ahead as we are moving house again
Getting too old for this removal and cleaning crap.
Wishing you both well
April 17, 2012 at 07:00
I tried mate, but JD is now £26 plus and officially beyond my financial reach.
The government are punishing the majority for the acts of a minority…
Bloody hell mate , your price rises go up faster than a honeymooners cock
April 11, 2012 at 07:00
Right now I am learning to deal with the past a day at a time.
Being able to talk about it and the ongoing problems with my father really helps – as long as he lives he’ll be a threat, but he’s not immortal and one day I’ll be able to piss on his grave and walk away…
You have the right attitude mate and in the end you will come out on top
As he ages he will grow weaker in his threat to you and he will realize
and see himself for what he is , a sad lonely old man
April 9, 2012 at 07:00
Ann Marie Dwyer (Red to everyone) is a book editor and has lots of links to the publishing world.
She likes my book and has plans to edit it (with a bit of help from me) and get it published.
She’s a fantastic woman and a mother of ten kids who is currently involved in her daughter’s wedding – or it has already happened, I’m a bit hazy about this – and has already given me a lot of help! 🙂
Red says that the book is good, so I’m hoping for good things, but the whole process is VERY slow, so I’m just being patient and working on the second book.
One thing I know about her is that she’s deadly honest and a fascinating personality – but then given my mum is a doormat any strong woman fascinates me! 🙂
No worries about keeping up – I have problems myself! 🙂
Thanks for clarifying my query mate, could you do me a favour and give Red my link
I would like to get an outsiders opinion on my poetry, someone who has never read my writings
to see if they think they are worthy of putting into a poetic book form
Yes, everything takes time, but time is something I have plenty of! 🙂
God Bless my friend and Happy Easter! 🙂
Make your time work for you mate
Life is too short and we have to fill it with as many emotions and experiences as we can
Dont live to exist, live to enjoy
Aussie Ian aka Emu
April 6, 2012 at 07:00
Thanks Ian – I’ll keep going as it’s the only gig in town…
Thanks for the best wishes and Happy Easter to you too my friend! 🙂
The weather is quieter tonight – no wind screaming and wailing around the door and not being limited to the front room because it’s the only room I can keep warm at times like that – but I still have that nagging cough and I keep bringing up yuck! 🙂
Have a great weekend my friend!
Love to you and Ana! 🙂
Red gave me a stiff talking to and got me back in perspective – this paranoid schizophrenia gig is no fun – so I’m feeling a lot better! 🙂
What will be, will be.
I’m already putting together ideas for a sequel! 🙂
Was thinking of your dilemna mate cos I am in the same boat
I get around it as I show that my writing in hopes of publication
are purely for rehabilitation and personal therapy, any self help programme is seen as personal therapy
Apart from the hobby side people like you and me with my PTSD must be applauded and commended on our efforts for self improvements
and should be encouraged with no detriment to income
Aussie Ian aka Emu
Yeah I know what you mean.
Since the Conservatives got in power they’ve been trying to strip as many people as possible of their benefits, first by changing the names of the benefits, then sliding as many people as possible onto them before downgrading them to a lower rate and ’empowering’ them into seeking employment or starve.
And if you don’t appear to be trying hard enough they ’empower’ you still further by stopping your benefits for a week!
If you still fail to get a job or get enough interviews your benefits can be stopped for six months, costing you food, utilities and, if rented, your home…
No wonder I fear the future…
April 5, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, life is good, but I find the prospect of getting published frightening as I’ll be left without the benefits I’ve been living on for most of my adult life.
The future is a terrifying unknown amid the political mayhem here in the UK!
I am not ashamed to say I wept buckets yesterday I was so scared of what the future would hold.
I’ll keep going on a wing and a prayer, but I am not ashamed to say I am scared rigid…
I understand what you are saying mate as I have the same problem, if published we have to break the umbilical cord of security
At least here in Aussie Vet affairs let us go back if we turn out a failure, but at least have a try Ian, even if its for your own self esteem
Wishing you well mate and a great Easter, and reserve a book for me when published
March 31, 2012 at 07:00

You know Ian i really think he has! 🙂
Right now I’m feeling so good I think I could kiss my father – it’d drive him nuts!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Great to know you are in high spirits
Hope it continues mate
March 18, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, life is being good at the moment and it’s bright and sunny outside, so I’m looking forward to going to church in about half an hour! 🙂
Cheers mate and have a great day and meeting in church
May God walk in your footsteps and catch you when you stumble
March 13, 2012 at 07:00
Yes, but not under British law thank God!
They will face a British court and British law will prevail – this time.
Unbelievably the British Government has made Sharia civil law legal in the UK, the first foot in the door for those who want to spread their outmoded legal system…
I have many Asian friends, mostly taxi drivers, and they are worried that this mess is going to spread even though the Police are trying to keep a lid on it.
The news services are keeping reports just in the local news for now so as not to stir things up even more.
Meanwhile the main news programs are not reporting on this – censorship perchance?
Whatever the reason this is one case where no news would be good news…
God help us…
God forgive if we follow the same path of recognizing Sharia Law
Sharia law is from the cave man religious mentality of Muslims
March 12, 2012 at 07:00
I agree wholeheartedly Ian! 😦
There are reports the National Front (Nazis) are stirring up trouble, the Police have been injured by thugs who have attacked the two takeaways where the alleged offenders used to work (Now under new management) so they have both had to close on Police orders and the trouble has spread to Heywood where the Asian taxi drivers have had to stop working for fear of being attacked!
And, as yet, the alleged offenders have yet to face trial and there are rumors that they may be able to avoid paying for their crimes because the defence can argue that that they will not get Justice!
All I can say is Thank God I’m not Asian… 😦
Racial tensions are rife all over the world causing wars and bigotry and hatred
and mainly through religion but in Heywood case it is more sinister , it stems
from the Muslim perception of females , whereby they are subordinate to male
and neither underage males or females are protected ,the answer for their crimes
will be found in the Koran because in there is a cover answer for all crimes
committed by Muslims validating their right to their actions

I just dropped in to say, hey Ian, how’re you doing today? How’s your new grandbaby girl doing…everything shipshape and all that? Have you had any more new arrivals, or are you still biting your nails and waiting?!? lol! Hope this is a great day for you, my friend, whatever it brings!! love, Katie.
Lovely to hear from you Ctherine Mary and thank you for taking the time to drop by
I haven’t held my new grandaughter yet but hope to in the next few weeks , still got two cakes in the oven baking
and due in the next month or so , too much for this old man to take in all at once , but an enjoyable if unusual experience.
I do hope you are well and life is being kind to you , I send you a big hug from Aussie Ian and Aussie Emu

Once you have it run a full scan of your PC (Takes about 2 – 3 hours depending on how much you have on your PC.
Once done you should just follow common sense – you’re smart enough! 🙂
You have to go to the Kaspersky website; follow their instructions to download a copy of the latest version (Kaspersky 2012) which includes telling you how to pay for it, then remove your old version of Kaspersky before running the installation program.
Once done, select the 30 day trial option so as to give you protection while they figure out your start key and post it to your email which you will have given them when you paid for the key.
I pay by credit card because it’s safer! 🙂
Once you have it enter it into your Kaspersky 2012 program as usual – if in doubt print off the instructions – and you SHOULD be up and running! 🙂
Hope that helps! 🙂
March 6, 2012 at 07:00
Thanks mate for taking the time to explain that all to me
I have my son arriving soon and will pass your comments over to him
to carry out the appropriate actions.Hope all is ok and beware the yoghurt with additives

I hope that you are on your way to church Ian and
not ogling the wickedness of my leading page 🙂 😉 lol
Have a wondrously excellent Sunday Ian 🙂
Gave church the arse and decided a quiet day at home was in order
Wishing you and Jen a great day and hope her glitch is fixed
You can reach her Space via my Blogroll my great friend, but other than that, no the glitch has not been fixed as yet 😦 Give it a try if you wish…

Yep the diet is working, but I ran into another use of Aspartame so keeping it out of my diet is getting VERY hard…
God bless my friend! 🙂
I keep dreaming of winning, but every ticket that fails to win makes anticipation turn to frustration as I find my hopes dashed only to buy another two tickets! 😦
I’m just bloody-minded enough to make it though through sheer slug-brained stubbornness!!! LOL!
I managed to get onto Jen’s blog thanks to Andro’s suggestion to use the link in his blogroll, but WP certainly seems to have its problems…
Here everything is serene and I’m on the Dracula shift so I’ll be off to bed at lunch time – as you can tell I don’t have much to occupy my hours!
Sorry to hear about the bad weather my friend – I know you need the water, but not quite as much as you seem to be getting! 😦
The weather across the world seems to becoming more extreme – the Tornado’s in America being a case in point…
God Bless my friend and I hope things improve soon!
March 1, 2012 at 07:00
I remember this one! 🙂
My name is Crook,
my game is crime,
What’s yours is yours, but also mine.
I creep in your home while you’re asleep.
What’s yours is mine – what’s mine I keep…
Thanks for that mate , never heard the full saying
I have only heard the bit I sent you , didn’t know there was a full saying
Yours is complete and a great poetic saying , will keep your version for future reference
February 29, 2012 at 07:00
I have no pain in my hip joints, but the tissues around my left hip are swollen and sore.
Looks like I’ll be sleeping on my right side today… 😦
Hope the diet will continue to improve your wellbeing
From my medical days in the army, swollen tissues were a sign of water retention
So hope the waterworks are going okay , maybe time to get a prostrate checkup mate
According to my doctor it’s rheumatism, but my systems are all OK apart from that.
Doctor Jiva gave me painkillers, but I use them only when it hurts so much I can’t sleep.
According to Nurse Mary at the medical centre I’m OK apart from raised Liver enzyme levels and a medium level of Cholesterol which I’m dealing with by dieting even more rigorously than before as I not only have to lose weight, but get rid of the bad fats from my diet.
If I haven’t improved by July then they are going to put me on Statins which means more diet problems as they make you put on weight – I’m doing so well I really hate the thought of putting on yet more mass!!!
On the plus side my weight continues to go down slowly and that’s good as it’ll be slow to go back on.
I’m still aiming for 98Kg as a target weight, but it’ll be a year before I get there, so I have to be patient…
Hang in there Ian and keep the goal 98Kg in your mind all the time
Persevere mate and you will reach it , and then you will have a new lease on life
February 20, 2012 at 07:00

Thank you for visiting my site and sharing; I appreciate it. I’ve enjoyed browsing through yours and reading your poetry; will look forward to receiving updates! I notice you posted a warning about people “borrowing” your material. A stranger “re-blogged” an entire post of mine, including many of my photographs, without asking and I thought I had no recourse…just amazing. Any suggestions?
Thanks, and peace to your day,
January 11, 2012 at 07:00
Hi Catherine O’Meara , thank you for visiting my space and joining my network of friends
I decided a while back when spaces moved to wordpress to add that copyright notice
as , like you , someone extracted one of my poems and changed a few words for thir internet sales pitch
on products they were selling , there is not much you can do except request they remove the works and advice them
they are in breach of copyright , other than that you can contact wordpress and advise them that you have a copyright infringement.
It is important to do this Catherine especially if they are using your pictures.
I hope you can resolve the matter as I fully understand the hurt and frustration we go through when this happens
I wish you much love and happiness Princess and look forward to our friendship

January 12, 2012 at 07:00
Thank you, Ian!
Wishing you much happiness and love
May your days be filled with sunshine
And your nights the serenity of stars and moonbeams
Yes, food dreams are a problem now I’m sticking to my diet.
I am down to 113.1Kg despite Christmas and I hope to lose more over the next year.
I have a loooong way to go, but I am determined to lose my porky belly.
The only trouble is that I keep losing my underwear – the fat that used to make them fit is now long gone!!! LoL!!! 🙂
Hope you have a great week my friend – here it is bouts of rain on cold, cloudy days that make it pretty dark and dismal…
Hang in there old mate , put your mind to it and watch the diet and all ends well , for me I have been on a beer diet for years and it keeps the weight off , well thats my story and I’m sticking to it , lol

I have had several Tiger dreams, usually involving Snow Tigers or Bengal Tigers and I’m always in the cage with them, but in no danger of harm.
I decided to have a break from endless cups of tea and bought eight cans of Breaker Lager (Loopy juice according to the locals) which should last me until shopping day.
The weather has improved, but the dawn was a really weird colour and the clouds looked really strange in the twilight…
I did a good deed, so I’m happy, but our postman is a sap – three times now I’ve ended up with letters intended for Silverstone, number 32 on my Close and now one for 39 Elm Street all in the space of three months! 😦
Oh well: He’s a nice bloke, but doesn’t read his addresses correctly…
God Bless my friend and hope it doesn’t get TOO warm – it’s getting colder here…
January 9, 2012 at 07:00
Sounds like you have got everything organized in your world mate
Loopy juice sounds like it may have a kick in it Ian
Help ya postie out mate and change your name to Silverstone
or better still , Goldstone and really spin him out , lol

Just got your second comment! 🙂
It’s 6.1’C outside with a VERY strong wind that has periods of extreme violence and a mix of rain and hail which I’m glad to avoid! 🙂
The storm is moving on though and the winds is slowly easing.
With luck we should see the last of it by tonight.
The flat has warmed up since the wind started to ease so no need for my winter woolies! LoL!
The ticket is next to me – I can’t cash it until Saturday when I’ll go get bread and milk…
We certainly have different weather mate , here I am sitting in shorts only sweltering
as the temperature slowly climbs up into the 40s again for the 6th day in a row
We are experiencing a heatwave here and I think Sue is too but she has a dose of bushfires over her way
Stay warm old friend
Believe me, when I win the Big One I won’t be celebrating alone!!! LoL!!! 🙂
£3 will go towards the new tickets though, so maybe next time… LoL!!! 🙂
Stay positive mate , one day it may happen and to win you must always have a ticket.
January 2, 2012 at 07:00
Happy new year my friend! You have been so kind, sweet and supportive of me in my poetry and I could never fully express how much it means to me! Hope 2012 for you began with a smile!!!xxxx
Happy new year dear friend, may it be full of prosperity love and happiness with lots of romance
I always enjoy your writing as your poetry portrays who you are and your emotions
In your words I see a beautiful girl with a sensitive and loving heart
May all your dreams come true
Ian aka Emu
You are the Wendy
From my wonderland
A faraway land
I am Peter Pan
I write our songs
A duet of romance
I write from the
Lands of our dreams
I take you by the hand
And hold you
Close to my heart
As we fly
Through times and spaces
We play and laugh
And we dream
Between the skies
We chase each other
In loves pursuit
Between the heavens
Beneath the smiling eyes
Of the pale blue moon
I hold you close
From the faraway land
As we explore
We once shared
So many times before
Memories of other places
Other lives and lands
When we laughed
Down through the ages
On different lands
Come fly with me
From the faraway land
Of the writing hand
Of magic and dreams
Take hold of the hand
Of your Peter Pan
And sail with me
On our Spanish Galleon
As we sail the waves
Of the heavens
Sail with me
Into our never ending land

All quiet today too! (Touch wood!)
The hip is OK again, so I SHOULD be mobile for Thursday’s shopping (we’re expecting strong winds and cold rain), but if not I have enough food to last two weeks, so I COULD put it off if I have to.
Hope you’re enjoying the cold beer and warm weather my friend – I plan on buying 16 cans of Tetleys finest instead of the spirits I normally drink, as I’m allowed 2 cans per day on my diet! 😛
Have a great week my friend!

Just caught your second comment and I have to say I agree: Doug IS unemployable, but the system won’t support him so all I can do is watch his life crash-dive and wait for the inevitable.
All life is precious to me, but Doug is rapidly becoming a lost cause…
I think I might have summed this up in my previous comment mate
Indeed you did my friend and, despite my inclinations to help the needy, everything that is happening is because Doug is doing it to himself, NOT because the system is screwing him around!
I suspect that the day is coming when he’ll lose it all and then he’ll make good his threat to slash his throat in front of me, but I suspect he may lack the courage to do even that…
God bless Dude!
Yes, Doug IS a sick puppy and he’s not getting better.
Soon he’ll have no benefits – they’ll sign him off for not taking the training course – and so no money, or home as they’ll not pay his rent.
I tried to help him and all he’s done is screw with my head.
I found another note from him asking for pain killers, but I won’t give them to him because he keeps threatening suicide.
Sooner or later mate Doug will be homeless as the benefits dry up
due to his non compliance with requirements
Once this happens he will become destitute
and then he will be desparate and will have to rely on charity
Dont end up being that charity mate

Mum’s got a few bruises and feels a few new muscles she never knew she had, but apart from that she’s OK Thank God! 🙂
She’s had a lifetime of shit from my dad and been through a lot of bad stuff, but she’s 71 and still mobile despite the doctor saying she’d be in a wheelchair by the time she hit 40!!!
Never ceases to amaze me…
Your mum sounds great mate and appears to be a sprightly person
Its great to hear how well she is after her tough life

God Bless my friend and thanks!!! 🙂

For what I see and read mate , you are very versatile with an interesting lifestyle
Maybe get Doug on the net , now theres a bloke who would qualify as a versatile guy
Hell he could teach us all a lot from personal experiences , lol
I am looking forward to the tenth of next month as I finally meet an old friend who I have known for over ten years
Sue Mac and I are meeting up in Adelaide as she passes through , will be great and we will make sure to post some pics

Yeah I can see the point of it, but Doug keeps on indulging his addictions while swearing blind that he has quit.
He’s got the shakes now every time he misses a drink, swears blind he’s quit, then comes up with yet another excuse as to why he has to drink!
He swore he’d quit smoking too, but now he’s getting tobacco from wherever he can.
I wouldn’t mind if he were honest about it, but he keeps trying for the sympathy vote.
I’ve been desperate for food on occasion – I even did a bit of shoplifting until the money came in, but I’m not proud of it and will never do it again!
The poor cannot afford pride, or as a Ferengi rule of aquisition put it: Pride and an empty sack is worth the sack…
Doug is a lesson in life mate , he is sent to entertain /educate and amuse
Aussie Ian aka Emu
