Fading Shadows of a Dream

19 Aug

A Fading Shadow

A Passing Dream

A Wilted Flower

On The Table

Of Love

An Empty Space

In My Scrapbook

Of Memories

Now I Am But A Page

Torn From The Book

Of Love

Yet Once That Flower

On The Table Of Love

Was Nurtured

And Grew

With Love

And Tender Care

And The Book Of Love

Was Read

Except The Final Page

I Never Reached

The Final Page

Nor Saw The Writing

On The Wall

Love

Is A Bittersweet Pill

To Swallow

Yet In My Heart

I Know

That Once Again

The Birds Will Sing

And Flowers Bloom

The Sun Will Shine

And Somewhere In Love

There Is

A Tomorrow

There Is You

Thank you Sheila, pleased you enjoy my old photographs, they really are actual people who lived in the 1800,s, they bring to life a different era of love and gentility, sadly our world has evolved beyond the basics of the beauty of Love.
      Cheers

Love, music and dreams all blend together to create a magical carpet ride through your words, dear Ian. ❤

Thanks Robin, I do like to create an overall picture, like music, words and illustration to create the scenario my words try to portray.
I love your continued friendship on Word Press, great for my enthusiasm in writing, which lately is waning.
      Cheers.
