A Fool of Love

A fool of love Am I

For I can never see

The Love in your Heart

Through the forest

And trees

Yet I see the flowers

That bloom in the spring

And I see a rose

In a garden of weeds

A rose that blossoms

In a garden of weeds

A Rose for you

A petal for me

Your smile your touch

To make my Heart sing

Roses do blossom

Roses do die

But the rose in your eye

Will always bring a tear

Will always make me cry

Your Love tears my Heart asunder

Lost in a world of fantasy

And make believe

Don’t waste your teardrops

On a fool such as I

Look beyond the horizon

Look into your heart

And follow your dreams

Look beyond the forest

Look beyond the trees

Look into my Heart

And you will see

A falling petal

From a dying rose

Yet a petal of Love

Once was a flower

That blossomed and bloomed

In a garden of weeds

You found the petal

Of my love

Now I fade in darkest nights

I sleep in the scent

Of a garden of Love

Glad you appreciate my poetry, as you will notice it is mainly all about love and romance.
I do have another site that is quite different to this one and is just bits and pieces, mainly Australiana and some fun, it is called Aussie Emu.
If you care to visit the link is.

Thanks Sue, I resubmitted that old writing for a new friend in my list called WordsFallFromMyEyes, her name I since found out is Noeleen and she wrote a blog similar which was interesting to read.
Sunday night here and a warm evening.
Wishing you a great week ahead Sue

Pink cherry blossoms, just like on my post today – and coupled with beautiful, beautiful words. Ian, you are such a romantic. A rose in a garden of weeds, I could fully see.

Glad you enjoyed my efforts at poetry, beautiful coincidence with your cherry blossoms and the ones I used in my post.
      Wishing you well Noeleen.
