Rapa Nui Mi Amor

01 Apr

I have posted this hauntingly beautiful song before and my good friend Cat has asked me to find it again for her so I submit it again for her and my other friends who appreciate this beautiful romantic song, the song originates from a small island off the coast of Chile South America called Rapa Nui or as we know it Easter Island.

I have left it in its original form as well as the lyrics as the English translation does not do it justice , the words are written by the great Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.

Enjoy this song from a land I love and one day will return

Ian

Hakaroe maitoru haite mahingae
akaro akaro maite
atua moto hinememe
mato kiraro ki rapa
nui ta hoka mingaeYo te añoro mi Pascua querida
Hangara Tue Re Rapa Nui Toku Matu

Hacia tu cielo azul

Estribillo
Contenta estoy cantando
Y desde aquí te bailo
Recibe tú esta ofrenda
Que es solo amor por ti.

Contenta estoy cantando
Y desde aquí te bailo
Recibe tú esta ofrenda
Que es solo amor por ti.

Mi Rapa Nui te doy
Todo mi ser mi voz
Y creo que mi canto
Es solo amor por ti
Tepito te enua
En mi sueño estás tú
Viajo en la noche tibia
Hacia tu cielo azul

Estribillo:
Contenta estoy cantando
Y desde aquí te bailo
Recibe tú esta ofrenda
Que es solo amor por ti.
Contenta estoy cantando
Y desde aquí te bailo
Recibe tú esta ofrenda
Que es solo amor por ti.

Emanau atue Rapa Nui
yangara yangoayacoe
hangara ia tue rapa nui
toku mato

Contenta estoy cantando
Y desde aquí te bailo
Recibe tú esta ofrenda
Que es solo amor por ti.
Contenta estoy cantando
Y desde aquí te bailo
Recibe tú esta ofrenda
Que es solo amor por ti.

So full of emotion and joy, Ian, and once the beat picked up I felt like dancing myself, IN fact once I’ve finished typing this comment I just might… and I don’t care what Bess thinks!! 😉 xPenx
